At least Stella is a legit name.
So is Luna.
I've also met someone named Noctis.

Can we finally get a decent cinematic story trailer now? Their last few trailers have been so LAME and seemed very low budget for a Triple A title.
So is Luna.
I've also met someone named Noctis.
I'm a disciple of the school of versusXIII led my Mnight and the apostles. You've been warned.
At least Stella is a legit name.
I'm going to make this gif FFXV related. it needs to be a hype gif for this game

We need that gif from 2011 trailer when Noctis wakes up from the throne and Ignis his talking to him saying the following:
Noctis: "it's time my people need me."
Ignis: "Preparations for the 30th are complete"
Gif ends: Uncovered XV.
Really?So is Luna.
I've also met someone named Noctis.
Really?
Don't fail me Johnny.....I will be gloriously waiting the day after uncovered for it.....this is my most hyped game of 2016. It's been to damn long since I've wanted a final fantasy and episode duscae had me putting more hours into a demo then I have some video games lol
I'd be shocked if there wasn't something in pre-production already. At least ideas/concepts/key staff. I pray it isn't Toriyama.
Verendus mentioned FF16 as far back as 2013. He correctly predicted that Versus XIII was getting a name change and move to current gen. But then again he also said "It will definitely release in 2014. You can have my account deleted if this information turns out to be inaccurate."
And I'm dying to know what this image from Square Enix's New Years Card is all about:
There were numerous signs that pointed toward Versus XIII getting a name change. Biggest one was the random Noctis cologne from 2013 that just said "Final Fantasy," when Lightning and Cloud's perfume/cologne had their respective roman numerals included.
Wow, he must have been thrilled when FFVsXIII was announced. I, for one, couldn't throw a kyoukasho in my Japanese classes without hitting a Gladiolus or a Prompto.Yeah, he was in my Japanese class, I was surprised the first time I heard the teacher say his name during roll call.
At this point it's possible that he was named after the FFvsXIII reveal. It's been a long time!Wow, he must have been thrilled when FFVsXIII was announced. I, for one, couldn't throw a kyoukasho in my Japanese classes without hitting a Gladiolus or a Prompto.
Yep. I own that cologne!
And yes even Verendus said "pretty much everyone suspects this by now but..."
More info from the fan event. http://www.novacrystallis.com/2016/03/final-fantasy-xv-fan-meeting-report/
Interspersed within these conversations were small comments about Final Fantasy XVs development:
- Signs and boards in Final Fantasy XV all have different designs
- Many enemies have yet to be revealed
- The staff want fans to look forward to dungeons
Another participant, Maitako, had asked about the games realism. Discussion revolving around this topic revealed that the team are walking on a fine reality line. Everything from character animation, to city and monster designs, to dialogue and reactions has been painstakingly designed to exude this realism. In other news, the staff have once again expressed their desire for Final Fantasy XV to achieve the same impact that Final Fantasy VII once did.
Novacrystallis didn't translate everything and all info though. Anyone able to translate the full fan impressions?

How does it smell?
I think it's supposed to be lemongrass and sandalwood if I remember correctly
It would actually kind of explain some people's reactions.
I mean yeah... They had one bad game.
It might have been 6 years but this is their first real effort since then.
If this mainline entry is also bad, then we have a pattern.
All those FF games are spinoffs and side story cash ins.
You've just been avoiding the chaff. You haven't passed on a real FF yet.
I love the idea of someone thinking FF has been dead to them for years and thinking they've been avoiding it... Meanwhile In Square Enix time it hasn't even made a single real follow up. xD
13-2 was well received? Since when? It and LR each sold worse the the one before it. People hated the 13 games.

It corrected a lot of the issues of 13 but the damage was done and Lighting Returns only redeeming feature is the combat.
The only FF archetype games that have come out since 13 were:
- FFXIII-2
- Lightning Returns
- FFX and X-2 Remastered
- FF Type 0 HD
- FFXIV
I'm not seeing a reason why someone would automatically assume the game is going to be bad outside of you thinking it looks boring.
It helped her with Louis Vuitton though
A lot is riding on XV and FF7r already got people concerned with the episodic nature.. They could very easily stop making them for consoles or go to episodic route or worse mobile to try and make it a profit.. These games are expensive to make and have a hard time breaking even unless you got a hit.I don't consider X and X-2 remaster a new game. I did buy that and enjoyed it thoroughly.
And yeah, four games in six years, none of which are essential unless you're a fan of MMO's? Nothing can not make that pathetic and sad.
Let's just say XV better be good. If it isn't, I'm sorry SE but I'm done with the series.
Our boy Nocto better get a sponsorship that isn't Coleman!

FF13 crew once got a promotion with Prada, I think Noctis will look good in Prada.
The "pathetic and sad" FFXIV has become one of my favourite entries in the mainline series, so I guess I should feel bad.
I don't.

Can you imagine if XV and VIIR aren't good? Lord have mercy.
I did say if you like MMO's. The problem with XIV people is they think everyone should like MMO's.
I've just been sitting here listening to FFXV music and suddenly how close we are to release really and truly set in. I don't have words for how excited that makes me.

That's a really narrow point of view.
Every good game goes through a magnitude of edits and changes. It's why they're so good. Uncharted 4 is going to be lauded as a masterpiece and it was completely scrapped and rebooted, just like FFXV.
13-2 was well received? Since when? It and LR each sold worse the the one before it. People hated the 13 games.
To be fair, critically, it was well received in Japan and it got good scores here too. However, most can agree that the flaws of FFXIII, the structure and famous 'ending' of FFXIII-2 and the shift of LR to its new format helped hold back the sales of the sequels.
Still, SE has continuously called the entire FFXIII saga a big success so whatever they expected it to do, it ended up doing. Besides the ways FFXIII-2 and LR were made (LR more so), I wager SE made quite a profit from the recycled assets. Toriyama, if anything, can stretch a lot from old material when it comes to making a game...
There's no middle ground. People's criticism toward this franchise amazes me.
I will grant, they stretched whatever crap they didn't use in XIII-2 pretty well. Then again, they stretched FFX's assets well enough for X-2 as well.
Because none of those spinoffs are the reason why this brand is beloved and important. They're generally experiments and reused asset cash-ins. Most of us arent making any inferences about the quality of the mainline games from these small spinoffs. When I talk about my love of FF games.. I'm not even considering these offshoots. It's like numbered Star Wars films vs comics and cartoons. It wasn't just one game. FF14 launch was terrible and I avoided it like the plague. 13-2 was well received but LR is highly divisive. Type 0, according to most, is ass. I'm more content just playing FF remakes. They have no idea what they're doing at that company.
I'm not sure why these games being spin offs takes away anything.
It isn't narrow minded when you take ten years to do it.
The Final Fantasy franchise is one of my favorites.Do you not think that after 13 trilogy, 14 launch, Type 0 not coming out in the west until the HD version, Type 0 not being as good as people hoped to begin with despite the years long wait for localization, and this game taking ten years that such criticism is not justified? A lot of us have moved on. I used to be a massive Final Fantasy fan and I haven't bought a new game in almost a decade. That isn't hyperbole. That is pure fact and no amount of damage control can change the fact that the past ten years of Final Fantays have been completely unacceptable. Many have found solace in other franchises, for some of us our favorite jrpg franchises are now long dead (Suikoden).
Despite all of this that of all things is what amazes you? That criticism is more than earned.
Of course you haven't bought an FF game in a decade. They've only made one big one, and it was their one famous dud (due to a troubled development cycle).Do you not think that after 13 trilogy, 14 launch, Type 0 not coming out in the west until the HD version, Type 0 not being as good as people hoped to begin with despite the years long wait for localization, and this game taking ten years that such criticism is not justified?
