I think might depend on who is doing it. I know some others that are porting but cannot do cross buy because of who is publishing. Velocity Ultra going from Vita to PS3 as one example of several.

Only drawback is I guess all these ports are part of the 20 (or whatever it was) first party PS4 games that Yoshida talked about. Unless it's been confirmed otherwise.

I would happily buy both of these again but they'll likely be CrossBuy anyway! I can't imagine how good Journey will look on the PS4 at 1080p and 60 fps.

What other downloadable first party Sony games could end getting a re-release like this?I wouldn't be that surprised to see some of the PS2's HD remasters getting this treatment too, I would imagine much of the work has been done for the PS3 versions.

You're bringing you're game library forward but with improved versions of the games and for people who don't already own them there would be a hell of an incentive to buy the PS3/Vita versions knowing that they also have the PS4 version for free when they upgrade.

Flower was fantastic for me, still not particularly game like but the experience of playing it was amazing.

I loved Flower on the PS3. It's such an odd experience when you compare it to all the other games out where you are killing something or scoring a goal or whatever. Just the idea that someone once thought "a game where I'm a flower petal, and I collect other flower petals, and to move I command the wind" and then that someone else went "brilliant idea".

Yeah but Flow and Flower are, no way GameCompany's other PS3 game is going to be left out...

I hope Sony waves the Playstation Plus requirement for this game.

This game should not be played without online, and I can imagine a lot of people playing it without PS+, and being completely ignorant of what they're missing.

Great news. While i think that new releases would be even better, i will welcome these little gems with open arms into my PS4 library. I'm especially happy for Journey since that was probably my game of this generation. The thought that i will still be able to do the journey once in a while in the future is fantastic.

Hopefully it is true and is also cross-buy. Unfinished Swan is unfinished for me and I bought Journey on sale but haven't played it yet. Having them both available on PS4 will definitely push me to play and finish them.

I would also love if Sony just released all of their PSN first party hits as cross buy games for PS4. I would also love a PS4 sequel to Tokyo Jungle too

People posting GIFs doesn't add any stress to Gafs servers because the images are embedded, not hosted.

It's just more demanding on your computer.

Jenova Chen mentioned earlier this year that he didn't know if the Vita could even handle Journey as it's a very SPU-heavy game.

So was Flower and Bluepoint managed to get it done. Here's hoping they can pull a repeat job.

It doesn't matter who is doing it at all. Sony own the game and will be funding the port, so it's their decision. Cross-buy is practically guaranteed once these two games have actually been announced.

YES. I bought a PS3 in January and these are the two first exclusives I played before The Last of Us came out. They're among my favourite titles made in 2012 (+Nintendoland +Sleeping Dogs).
