they exist, but noone publicises them. panther is a great character despite the black in front, so this is a win win all around.

Not too fond of Black Panther getting a movie to be honest. There will be way too many public viewers drawing parallels to Batman considering Batman is the most popular movie superhero franchise (has had the most Hollywood movies).

Just because he may be cast in a Marvel movie doesn't mean he'll be the main character. He might be a lesser character in BP or another Marvel movie.

Was going to post the same thing. Great actor who you've probably seen in a few smaller parts. Doesn't really carry any box office pull like the other 3 leads prior(Norton was the only big name and they let him go). He's even starring in the next McQueen Film <3. So they would get a pretty talented man for cheap.

The AAA guy doesn't seem like a bad choice either. Though he doesn't have carry as strong of a profile as him either. I'm also partial to Ejiofor since I find him hot. Heh.
 
Tyrese would have been good.........if he could act.

But I agree its going to be an up and coming actor, who they can get cheap for multiple films. Most of the guys mentioned are just to old.

I have always assumed it was going to be 2016 but other gaffers pointed me to some sources (forget the exact quotes, but it was Feige) that indicated a likely 2015 release. And on the topic of those series being unrelated to Avengers, that doesn't really matter. It's the same studio, so they'd be having to putting out the films regardless. He wouldn't say 'two of those will be announced in the coming months' if they'd release three years apart.

But you have to remember that Kevin Fiege and Marvel Studios are extremely frugal when it comes to budgets. They're not gonna shell out the big bucks to hire Will Smith or Denzel Washington. They will most likely hire a lesser known actor for Black Panther much like they did with Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans.
