Xbox SKYer via Kotaku

Chinese site Xbox Skyer has what's reported to be a teardown of an Xbox One controller picked up in Dongguan, China. That's a major port city where many goods pass through for export.

Are devkits also produced in China or does that mean that MS is already producing and stocking controllers for retail? As there is no console photo, I guess this is the controller-only SKU if this controller is no fake and for retail.

No images for me.

I just tried to upload one to imgur but it gave me an error.

:/

Try rehosting them somewhere OP.

These photos prove without a shadow of a doubt that the Dual Shock 4 will be the superior controller in every aspect of the game.

Why is that rumour? Curious.

Anyway it didn't look so high technical. I want to see the vibrate trigger.

The letters on the buttons make it look really cheap, like each one would give a different fart noise. I don't remember the 360 pad looking so ugly.

Cheap chinese knock-off of a controller. The left stick is clearly in the wrong position.

Shame.
Only interesting thing I was looking forward to in this was the rumble triggers, which isnt evident.
Oh well, cool to see what here kinda I guess anyway.

What I really cant wait to see is PS4 console break down, followed by its controller...

Going to say fake as well.

Also this reminds me, we're going to see people buying a new system and smashing it in front of others aren't we.

Happens with every new system that comes out.

could be legit, I don't see why a fake would bother with the inner plastic frame. There's also slots for motors/vibration.

Not sure if a troll or not, but this controller will shit all over the DS4.

I wish I could have this controller with the PS4... :(

Seriously tho, can't wait to get my hands on both these controllers.
I think that's the most exciting thing for me for these new consoles ;p

I'm hesitant to agree but I think X1 will be a superior controller in most areas too. Hard to say without actually using them both.

Dat impulse trigger ;)

I heard that the controller does not use bluetooth but wireless LAN to connect to the console? Will you be able to connect the controller to a PC?

Depending on how the signal looks someone will probably write something. But I guess it's natively supported by W8

First I was agree with you from the look, and enjoy with 360 pad on PC. But after I saw the buttons, I think I shall to worry.

I'm having a hard time figuring out this image.

- The top board is right-side-up and has the analog sticks.
- The bottom board is upside-down (look at the placement of start and back in relation to the face buttons).

If that's true, then why does the board only have three face buttons?

What's up with the face button and dpad contacts looking so different, and the A button contact being on a completely separate board?

No, the top one is upside-down (?)

[edit]Oh, no, the fourth face button is on the other board. They overlap.

They go over the top of one another, the hole in the bottom board goes over the sticks on the top board. The top board has 3 of the face buttons, the lower board (upper in the picture) has the forth.
