what's the story behind that?
Power rangers had their big reunion last year and they asked some of the old casts back. But Power Rangers films in New Zealand so it will be a bit of a time investment for folks. Rocky said it was not worth the money to put things in his life on hold, and plus Saban had some weird one year clause that could have them tie them up farther. I will have to find the original thing.

Yes. By the second half of Season 2, Zedd had been reduced to comic relief after parents complained. Man, those same parents would lose it if they saw Adventure Time...
There was even a 3-part episode about Zedd and Rita getting married, in a Jewish wedding.

As a Power Rangers fan, I find this stupid. Ok, I love the whole "Zordon and old Power Rangers" opening, and the use of smart phones and Google Earth, but the rest sucks. Robbing banks for gold so Rita can remake Goldar? Rangers just finding the coins in the desert? Zordon and Alpha arguing over what to do? Meteor impacts on the moon create tidal waves?

I've heard people in this thread calling goldar a "jobber". That's just because the old show needed canon fodder. He was a beast at one point and would take on all the Rangers by himself. This just has to make him badass again and be the big enforcer to Rita's villain.
Also they're setting up Zack to be the bad boy who doesn't play by team rules. Only to probabky have the leader Jason reign him in

Nah man, I would say that Rita's brother was a bigger Jobber than Goldar. Goldar could kinda hang with Tommy/Jason on one on one's. He gave the Megazord the business alone sometimes too.
Rita's brother came in like a fucking badass, destroying the Thunder Zords, and then failed at every single thing he attempted to do for the next 5 years.

Not keen on seeing 2 "16 year olds" making out on screen, but whatevs. Rest sounds generic, but could still be decent.
Save Tommy for the sequel, obviously. Post credit scene in PR1 with the dagger/coin with a music arrangement of the dagger theme playing.
Anyway, whatever happened to that Power Rangers Origin CG thing? Fake?

I used to watch Power Rangers when I was a kid - I went to see the Power Rangers Movie on my birthday. I collected the Burger King toys. I had figurines of every ranger and every Zord except Titanus - for he was too OP. I stopped following it after Turbo or whatever the hell came after the first few phases.
I'm going to view these supposed leaked details through that lens.

Dave and Buster's? 139 points seems awfully specific. Zack "selfishly" declines because he can morph into a freaking gymnastic god with a battleaxe and destroy the other basketball team in a shower of fireworks while dunking from the 3 point line.
Enjoy it now, Jason, because it's only a matter of time until a 40 year old Tommy grapples you to death MMA style and steals your girl.
