Rumor: Titanfall slated for PS4.

I would have bought it day one had it been on PS4 at the start but it really already feels like this game came and went without any sense that it was really worth the hype. Port it, don't port it, personally I'm not interested.

I don't think Sony fanboys said it was garbage. Sure, there was some downplaying and comments on its performance on xbone, but i never came across people calling it garbage. I would have gotten it on ps4, but got it for pc instead. I got bored of it surprisingly fast. It has potential to be great, but not until the sequel perhaps.
I can't see the TF1 coming to PS4 all being said.

I wouldn't buy this even if true, Titanfall isn't my cup of tea.

But, ... still no "creds" on this guy? Like this hasn't been locked yet.. so I am confused.

Well it quickly became evident that your post was not meant to cast doubt on "an already unbelievable rumour", it was meant as a snipe on famousmortimer and nothing else. And given that the actual tweet was indicating that he didn't actually believe the rumour himself (because of the legal ramifications), it definitely came across as rather childish.

Oh well. That was my thought process.

I personally never cared about TitanFall when it was revealed for Xbox One, and still don't care (not the PC version either) whether it comes to PS4 or not.

I don't care about Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4 either, even though I have it. I wasn't interested in CoD Ghosts, either. All I ever cared about was / is Battlefield 4. That was my #1 reason for getting PS4 at launch.

Now if CoD: Advanced Warefare ends up being good, and runs at a locked 60 FPS on PS4, I'll consider picking it up.

TitanFall ? Even if some new expanded version of TF1 comes out on PS4 with a slightly different title and helps the PS4 platform that's great, I'm all for that.

I will say though, If TitanFall 2 is indeed multi platform in 2016~ 2017 and looks like it'd be worth my while on PS4, I would certainly at least consider buying that.


I really just want a PS4 version of
Grand Theft Auto V
and I want it by this fall / holiday 2014 :(
 
Didn't think this was possible. But if it happens I'll double dip to play with friends and to support a PS4 sequel.
 
Geez... Imagine the shitstorm that would go down if this is real. That after all the bs Microsoft pulled last year, they lied to push sales.

They basically decided to develop only for Xbone before they inked a deal, and then MS invested in the development and at that point I guess contracts were drawn up. The idea that MS must have paid big bux to secure exclusivity because Respawn could have made a PS4 version is not accurate.
 
What if there was a clause where XBO needed to achieve a certai number of game sales for the title, and if failed to do so?

I'm sure it was just a mistake.

I'm pretty sure MGSV is getting exclusive content on Xbox One so he might have been mixed up about that.
 
What could have happened is that EA and MSFT found that the game didn't do as well as they predicted. Someone in EA looked at the cost of buying back exclusivity and found it was less then the profits of bringing the game to Playstation.

I think if it does happen, I would imagine MSFT would require DLC be released first on their platforms. But I think MSFT feels that the game didn't have the impact they thought it would (on sales). At this point in the consoles life cycle both Sony and MSFT want to drive up their user base, plain and simple, TF has not had a sagnificant effect on xboxone.
 
Assuming there's any truth to the rumor, I'll pass, as I don't play online (excluding ME3), and I don't play FPS that much. I might change my mind, if there was a meaty SP campaign with a decent story.
 
After buying it for PC it may be better to wait for a hopefully more fleshed out TF2. I have a feeling TF might be soon forgotten if SO lives up to its early media and Sledgehammer can make a competent CoD later this year.

Or maybe he just said that bc they didnt want people holding out for the ps4 version.Or maybe its the truth.

For all we know MS made sales guarantees, and if the game fell short the exclusivity clause could have become unenforceable.
