Rumor: Until Dawn Is Coming To PS5 and PC

PC only gamers you're in for a treat. 😎

Anyway, can't wait to replay it myself in 4k goodness with hopefully some neat dualsense features.

All that being said, the legend is back, bitches!

I tried it for the first time last year but just ended up watching a playthrough on Youtube. Didn't feel it had much replay value. It's better than Silent Hill: Ascension at least.

Sony spent a lot of R&D and money into this game on PS3 and PS4 so I'm not surprised if they re-release it. It's the perfect game for PC horror game streamers - if that's still a thing?

And the novelty Dual Sense effects would be perfect use here.

Hopefully they can create new story variations.

One thing I'm surprised about is that they never released the pre-order bonus content as DLC. Could have been easy money for them.

I'll probably go for the PS5 version if they offer some kind of discount for owners of the PS4 version.

Its supermassives best game, they gotta stop rushing these smaller games cause the Quarry's narrative was downright bad.

Id be down to play again

It's what happens when devs lose that Sony support and backing. I wish they could go back to Sony and do a sequel to this game though. And for the love of god make Until Dawn Remake PSVR2 compatible.

I liked the Quarry for what it was but do agree that Until Dawn was their best game by far.

Depending on the price of this though, I might jump in. Not really sure what would be upgraded or different for PS5 compared to ps4.

I guess.

But what's more of a thing is the fact that Detroit sold an obscene amount of copies on PC, so Sony probably looked at that and thought they might be able to replicate the same effect, given how Until Dawn is the best narrative adventure game not developed by Quantic Dream.

The quarry started off great too, but the farther you got the more it fell apart. Feels like they got rushed to finish but had a solid base to go off of, which sucks

I enjoyed it when I played it years ago. Not sure I'd bother playing through again. It's bizarre how it was essentially Sony's only big hitter for xmas 2014 iirc.

I agree, but - am I the only one who just put the controller on the table when you should hold it still? I know it's a bit like cheating, but that's one mechanic in the game I really didn't enjoy.
They could fix that by adding a one sided thump on the dualsense. Outside of clamping it somewhere you wouldn't be able to cheat.

I did that but got a boner and it tipped the controller sidewards.

well Decima has been adapted for PC releases, if it's a "remaster" this makes the most sense.

I don't personally love the game in anyway but happy for those who now get to play a game they couldn't before

Remake or Remaster?
If it's a Remake then will the cast be the same if a Remaster what improvement will be implemented
Obviously Dualsense will be perfect for this game, will it have improved graphics?
The game already looks fantastic

The 4k & HDR will do the game wonder's
But is there improvements beyond that?
I am really curious about this
Either way I'm day one & Sony should get Supermassive Games on sequel with some returning characters

Hopefully a remaster with minimal effort from Supermassive. Everything they've done since Until Dawn has been incredibly average.

People here are not realizing that, just like with DS2, billbil-kun said it's supposed to be announced within the next 15 days, so State of Play soon?

I actually enjoyed The Quarry but Until Dawn is still better, I even say it looked better too some ways.

I guess to promote the upcoming movie. I thought this game was pretty mid, the worst of sonys point and click adventure type games.

I love the game and replay it every October on my PS5. The game already looks great and runs fine on the PS5. I see no reason to even buy a remaster of this.

I loved the game but the only way id buy it again would be for a full psvr2 version. Sadly, Sony has abandoned the hardware.

Probably, yes

Keep in mind that they have to promote Rise of the Ronin and FF VII Rebirth with a demo

No longer available at PS Store

Weird, updated version also for PS4? bilbill-kun said that it wasn't going to be called 'remastered', 'director's cut' or whatever. But it may also be just a bug, it's still available to buy in United States and Japan.

I don't like this game, the jump scares are overly done. Same goes to the rest of their franchise, the only exception being the Quarry, as the jump scares are tuned down significantly.

Jump scare should only happen when it matters, not every few second, not in every meaningless interaction. When you had way too much jump scares the audience simply cannot focus on the Story - which was the main driving force of these types of game anyways.

Hope they continue follow the footsteps of the Quarry, its story might not be the best of the series, at least the direction was correct.

Let's pray for an upgrade path.

I wouldn't count on it, they're taking the original version off of some PSN regions already. This is probably old enough for them to skip an upgrade path and not have notable backlash.
