I would say real , would someone go to that much effort, prob footage that was gonna be shown around game awards in two weeks time, if it is real can't wait to get 4k footage

Yeah i know AI is doing crazy stuff but ain't no way this footage is fake.

So they're showing the new guy and Pai. Looks cool but i'm waiting for my Shun Di the ultimate GOAT.

Yeah i can't think of a game i'm as much excited about, maybe GOW trilogy but can't tell since this wasn't shown at all yet (Sony better not fuck this one ffs btw)

Super glad that Virtua Fighter is back.

No projectile shenanigans, no fireballs, no magical wizards, just pure frame based martial arts.

I see no health bars, maybe the camera is too low and doesn't show them, but fingers crossed there's no meter management and we can focus on the hand-to-hand combat without worrying about powering up some super meter, because that's the one line Virtua Fighter hasn't crossed in decades and I hope it retains that distinction.

The slowmo face punch at 00:55 reminds of the Fatal Blows from Dead or Alive 6, which are short enough to not disrupt the flow of the fight unlike the Fatal Blows from Mortal Kombat that can take several seconds and feel quite long, but I like the sense of spectacle these add to the new Virtua Fighter

Also this presentation looks similar in style as the Stranger Than Heaven reveal, right? It's the same dev team so it makes sense, Devs sitting in a drinking bar environment talking about the game with spot lighting.
 
I hate that I have to dedicate part of my brain to deciphering the footage as being legit or AI. The off screen footage seems to match the direct feed footage. It looks legit.

Looking at this, I can see all of Sega's experience from the Yakuza series get absorbed into this project. They haven;t lost their touch when it comes to character motion. Looks very fluid. I am on the fence with the lighting though... is this a custom engine? Are they using UE5? Which might explain the lighting. Not sure. Will have to see better footage.
 
What's up with the subtitle "Crossroads"

It implies an intersection between old and new, surely they must be introducing something new and radical to the franchise that it didn't have before, while retaining as much as possible of that old heritage, hence Crossroads

Yeah, basically a mix of new and old characters. For example, Stella, who looks like Sarah Bryant, seems to be a new character. Possibly Sarah Bryant's daughter... or even Jacky's daughter? Cielo is also a new character. In some shots you can see an old Wolf Hawkfield.

It lLooks pretty much like the previous real showing of the game in style, effects etc., so why assume it's fake? If it is, it's a very good one. Honestly it doesn't look like the revolution I hoped for but I'm sure it's gonna be great all the same, just more conventional than implied by the first tech demo.

Maybe toned down the weird glowy red status effects, that would be a good thing if it's the case.

The game was announced at The Game Awards, so Summer Game Fest seems like the likelier bet? If they had a marketing partnership with a platform holder surely it would've included the announcement too.

Looks very promising, I hope they will implement a decent story mode similar to Mortal Kombat series (maybe add some Yakuza influences, you know how to tell stories ;))
