Rumor: Virtua Fighter: Crossroads leaked footage.

/ship it.

The game producer Riichiro Yamada hinted a while back it would be at Summer Games Fest. When he does that it usually shows up at the time he's hinting at.

I was never a fan of the 3 button Guard Punch Kick layout, but I have to admit the graphics and animations are outstanding. RGG's graphics team is really impressing me.

Hopefully they got yakuza characters in it
Great idea tbh.

If Sega throws Kiryu and Majima into the base game, they'll sell a lot more copies. Gimme Yagami from Judgment too. They could even put some Streets of Rage characters as DLC.

Just keep their move set grounded in VF realism.

Haven't been into fighting games since the 90s. Last fighting game I bought was vf4 Evo on PS2. I think it was a greatest hits bargain bin.

But this looks incredible. Temptation.

I'm #TeamReal because it looks like Will Ospreay is doing Wolf's motion capture based on that footage.

EDIT: Also, Samoa Joe and Hikaru Shida, also from AEW like Ospreay, did some work with the same development team for Yakuza, IIRC.

It lLooks pretty much like the previous real showing of the game in style, effects etc., so why assume it's fake? If it is, it's a very good one. Honestly it doesn't look like the revolution I hoped for but I'm sure it's gonna be great all the same, just more conventional than implied by the first tech demo.

Maybe toned down the weird glowy red status effects, that would be a good thing if it's the case.

You're tripping. This is exactly what we need in a 3d fighter. Less meters and lazers and 15 second combos.

There was a 4th button the evade button in VF3 which they took out never brought back. I wish they'd kept it. One of the old interviews on VF6 mentioned not being limited to the old control scheme so it may not remain 3 buttons. The evade button in VF3 allowed for some crazy movement without breaking your arm like you would in VF4.

I forgot about that!

I always thought a mix of classic Tekken and MK's layout seems good. Limbs and Block. It would translate well to most pads too. 4 face buttons and shoulder button for block.

I never played VF3 though. Maybe that's better.

I stopped liking fighting games once they included the cinematic in the middle of the game. Already the ultra combos in Killer Instinct were a stretch but at least the battle was already over then. That's one of the reasons DBZ games never clicked with me.

Okay, this is a leak. Now what will Sega do about it? There's absolutely no way they'll keep that presentation.
