Element is 100% correct as he usually is. This is VERY old news and has been often talked about among the development community for the past year (what isn't). Also most of the guys there are ex Star Wars Galaxies dudes. Whether or not this is a good thing is up to you.

Oh, and about the Jedi vs non-Jedi issue, they'd have to do some major tweaking in an MMO because as it stands right now for KOTOR, high-level Jedi/Sith completely dominate the game. There is no question about it. The metagame would be basically twinked out Jedi and Sith, as opposed to, well, twinked out characters on WoW or other MMOs. At least with other MMO games, you have different classes and races.

If you read the whole thread you'll see that the team responsible for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc. isn't even in the same country as the Bioware MMO team.

Ability to build ships and conquer galaxies and trade like eve online
Creation of Deathstar like facilities for wiping out planets. Would make for awesome guild events.

Gamespot can't really take any other stance unless they want to go out on a limb and confirm with their own sources. I'm being optimistic here and assuming that they're not that out of the loop like with the Bungie story. Like I said previously, this has been extremely well known in Austin for at least the past year.
