I'm interested in jumping on a server with some of you guys, it's been far too long since I played Rust, haven't even touched experimental, didn't want to spoil it too early but I'm getting an itch to try it out. Is there a GAF server or is it just one that some of you guys are playing on?

E: Never mind, had a rake about and found the server, I'll jump on later this afternoon if I can.

i was apparently the victim here, and now my house is gone. even though i logget out in the second floor :/. thanks for reminding me why I stopped playing this game though

just to clarify before someone jumps on me here: I'm ok with people stealing stuff and raiding. that's part of the game, and I do it to. my problem is with the fact that my body was nowhere near where I logged out

It was really bullshit. Not only did the game let me shoot you through the window (valid) but I was also able to loot your corpse, which gave me your key. After that...it's the apocalypse bro, I was looking for copper wire.

Did you build the toolboard item in your house?

I did, but that didn't really matter once he had my key

How far away was he from the window? I mean I don't think it's unrealistic that you could do it from an open window.
 
Glad to see you guys are back on rust, my computer can't run the new version so maybe I'll be back by the time it's out of alpha :(
 
Yeah, we should have been able to. Your house has a huge gap between walls. So I can gogo gadget arms through a window but can't walk through a 2" gap.

Yeah.

I haven't noticed many non-gaffers but then again anyone can come and see the IP past the spoiler tag. It's not at any crazy point just yet so I think it'll be fine. Looks like Dunder is back on too! Bread fix your comp and get in on the action.

I was playing with a guy and mentioned gaf, he'd never heard of it... So i'm not sure how he found it. You could also put the IP in an tag so we need to quote to see it...whatever works.

Maybe he was friends with someone that's on there and then joined it? Not sure. I know I didn't see it on the list but that was on the first night of the server. I can put it in an email tag tho.

I need a whole new computer, it's not something that can be fixed :(

Notables:

The way loot spawns has been changed. Previously you’d always find boxes in the same position and most of the time they were empty.

Now the boxes disappear when they are looted and respawn at a random position. No more dummy barrels!

If you have a crappy internet connection you probably haven’t been able to join a Rust server in the last couple of weeks. I’ve been looking at it and I’m hoping I’ve made stuff better for those guys but at the moment it does seem to be a universal problem with Lidgren. I’m keeping an eye on it and will evaluate our options once I’m done with the UI stuff.
