Will getting them to run on the Vita be that much harder than them running on the PSP?Rebuying games was a dumb speculation imo, but I'm still curious about the computability list. You know there will be one.

I have a feeling this has something more to do with security. Otherwise there's no reason for this to be dragging on.Will getting them to run on the Vita be that much harder than them running on the PSP?
Where anything officially been mentioned about having to rebuy the games?
I hate to be that guy, but was it really so hard to show this montage at the E3 conference? Especially since it sounds like it was made for it...music and all.
IGN has a similar list :/

I'm guessing never.sigh, how much longer before we can get ps2 classics on vita? I want some god hand on the go.
That exact SCEJ montage? It did kinda prominently feature Tokimeki Memorial, which would freak out anyone that recognized it and suggest it's coming to the U.S. somehow.
Because that would take effort, and we know how SCEA is with handhelds and effort. Not the exact one, but something similar replacing the JP only titles with NA only titles, or well known titles like Jet Moto.
"In a statement after the show, Sony added that " SCE will further accelerate the expansion of the PS Vita platform through regular system software updates."
Huh. Wonder how long we'll have to wait for stuff like Tomba, Suikoden 1, and Vagrant Story to be compatible.
They'll make us pay an additional $1.99 for PSX games on the store, and we'll have to pay that $1.99 fee for PSX games we already own in order to transfar them to our Vitas. And there will be ads while they're downloading, and maybe inserted onto the load screens for games. I'm sure you could fit a whole commercial break while waiting for a battle to load in FF9.
When we FINALLY get PSOne games on the Vita, will they be 'real' full screen? I'll try to explain; I remember playing some PSOne games on the PSP, and there was a way to get more of a 'full screen' view of the game, but this included some slight image cropping. This, however, didn't happen on the PS3, at least on my TV.
So I'm just wondering how the games will look on the Vita. Will they have a 4:3 aspect ratio? Cropped full screen? Maybe we won't know until they're out.
They're just the original games in their original format (4:3).
...but that would mean they'd have to spend more time talking about the Vita during their Press Conference! They were already trying to "cut the fat" as it is! lolSmart thing would've been to announce that PS+ members who also have Vita's will have access to their existing libraries.

The opening says "compatible to PSP blah blah". This means that you won't have to redownload. The list shown probably indicates the PSone games that are currently working on the Vita. Like the PSP PSN games, not every game works on the PSP yet so they're fixing them (or the firmware) to make it compatible.
Well, the message could still be a carry over or even a placeholder before a new one's implanted, but I'll be REALLY disappointed if it's just the Vita emulating the PSP emulating the PS1. There's potential to put 480i support in, dual analog, and better performance for the few cases where it actually dipped (Vagrant Story). Too bad that guy couldn't remember/figure out you had to hold your finger on the screen for settings, that could've cleared it up for us.That looks like it's emulating the PSP emulating the PS1 :/
I thought it was going to be a new Vita specific emulator for PS1 games.
I'm going to go over the 100 bubble limit.
Need FW update.

It's emulating the PSP PS1 emulator and it's still not ready? No sense.
I don't think they'll do that, probably port it instead of directly using it so we get some Vita options. It's emulating the PSP PS1 emulator and it's still not ready? No sense.
I have a couple of install bubbles still sitting on my PS3 and it's so cluttered. And we're definitely redownloading unless we kept all our old PS1 installs around.
How could it take Sony this long to port / develop a competent emulator for Vita?
PSOne Classics will soon be compatible with PlayStation Vita, finally. However, the launch won't just be flipping a switch on all the PSOne Classics available on PSP and PS3. Instead, Vita PSOne Classics will be rolled out gradually starting this summer, Sony informed Joystiq today.
Oh for crying out loud...

If you've previously bought any newly Vita-compatible PSOne Classic, you'll be able to download it for free on Vita. The exact launch lineup wasn't announced, but expect it to include the games shown at Sony's press conference: Wild Arms, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy 7, Twisted Metal 2, Arc the Lad, Cool Boarders 2, and Jet Moto.
You should quote the whole thing:
So basically the Vita emulator has its own compatibility list which will grow over the time, but the titles are the same for PS3/PSP/Vita, so we won't have to buy them again specifically for Vita.
Yeah, but you know how slow Sony works. If you purchased some obscure title you may be waiting a while. Whatever happened to that whole streaming onlive/giaku(whatever it's called) thing anyway? All fake I take it...
No magazine racks will be spared my fury if Breath of Fire IV isn't there day one
