S-E new game countdown (4 Warriors of Light - DS)

According to gamefront.de, Kobayashi Tomomi, designer of the romancing saga games, stated on his blog, that he is working with Squeenix again.

She is the character designer/illustrator for all of the SaGa games. So she's probably referring to SaGa 2 DS remake.
 
Music sounds very Saga-ish, and art looks very Mana-ish... either way, this is some pretty good news, as long as the games end up being decent.

They say she stated that she just delivered some artwork and that it has been the first time in 10 years. Also SaGa 2 DS artwork doesn't look like her's at all.

Gen Kobayashi did the updated character designs/illustrations for the remake, but there's no stopping them from including some of Tomomi Kobayashi's illustrations too, since she is very much associated with the series. They did the same for FFIII and FFIV DS by having Amano do a few illustrations and other people do the actual redesigning.

I think the character designer for SaGa 2 is Gen Kobayashi. So hopefully this is referring to something else.

SaGa 1 was FF Legend
SaGa 2 was FFL2
SaGa 3 was FFL3

Final Fantasy Adventure was pretty much Seiken Densetsu 1. Seiken Densetsu 2 being Secret of Mana.

Why? It more than likely wouldn't be released until after SaGa 2 remake, so it would make sense to me - especially since SaGa 2 remake has already had quite a bit of publicity.

That's not to say I think it's SaGa 4. I have a feeling it's this 4 Warriors of Light game, whatever that is.

Please, prove me wrong and announce Romancing 4 or SaGa 4, SE :)

Maybe. But I thought that about the rumors of Dragon Quest IV remake being announced after Dragon Quest IX, and the reality was thrice as crazy.

She made it seem like whatever she was doing hadn't even been announced yet though, when SaGa 2 was announced months before she made that post.

Maybe she's just keeping SaGa 2 stuff a surprise, dunno.

No you guys might be right... I didn't read the Japanese text when I last posted, but it does seem like she's trying to be a bit hush-hush.

We'll see, I guess.
 
6th July is a Monday, so I suppose it'll be on the V-Jump that releases that same day but that we could get leaked info as soon as the previous Wednesday. So just 3-4 days if so.

光の４戦士 (Hikari no 4 Senshi // 4 Warriors of Light)

Looks to be the best guess, but it sounds like a subtitle to FF, DQ, Mana and such to me :/

There's no more Seiken. Since the creator has left S-E, no one is going to touch his infested pile of shit anymore. Thank God.

After replaying SD2 last year I came to the conclusion the series was never good. Holy hell how buggy of a mess that was.

Uh, if I turn to my left, I see The Last Remnant and Star Ocean: The Last Hope for consoles, and The World Ends With You and Crisis Core for portables, so that statement isn't true.

It's a shame you posted this because you are traditionally wrong. But you got something right for once.
Well, I can't speak for the quality of Star Ocean 4 (It is triAce and Star Ocean so I have my doubts.) nor TWEWY but LR and CC are awesome.

Actually the art on the website does look a bit Crystal Chronicle-ish which makes me wonder why no one suggested this before. It could be the 4th multiplayer CC game or something.

Last Remnant and Star Ocean are both fucking terrible. TWEWY was amazing, but that's about it. CC was okay. I mean high budget console titles. I was insanely hyped for LR, IU, and SO4, and all three of them were embarrassingly bad.

Last Remnant is good on the PC. The 360 version is way too buggy and glitchy.
 
Unlimited Saga sold pretty bad and we still got Romancing Saga...so im hoping Saga 2 hits stateside. Btw the music on the site is alot louder than it was at first. Before I had to turn up my volume to 100, now just 50. Guess it'll be a normal volume background track soon enough.

EDIT: Someone is going to have to rip the music when it reaches normal volume. I dont know who composed it or what purpose it serves...but it's pretty damn catchy :D

Has it been revealed what new content, if any, will be included in it? Seiken Densetsu on mobiles wasn't simply Sword of Mana slapped onto phones, so I would have thought SD2 will have some changes made to it...
 
I dont presume to state my opinion any of them, but you have to be on motherfucking cocaine to find SO3 and TLR horrible, yet find The World is Not Enough to be amazing like it's NOT equally flawed Nomura brand claptrap. It's like youre fighting for a taste brigade while wearing a clown suit.

That said, the new Chocobo's Dungeon for Wii is still Square's best contribution to this generation. Which is astounding considering how utterly mediocre I found the first two to be. Considering how completely fucked the retail release of Rogue likes is in the US, it was a super nice surprise. Almost as nice as Shiren starting to pop in.

Talking about S-E... it's weird that they haven't announced a "Party" to announce/show games yet.

Maybe they'll show (fucking Mega closed theatre) everything at TGS this year?
