Sad Romance Movies/Anime?

Hey guys,

Well I am doing a monologue involving a man losing his soulmate, so I am looking for some inspiration to get me into the mood...or understand the character better.

I was using some anime music that was really helping out....but I overused it and now it has run stale...(FMA Kyoudai FTW!)

So need some new material.

I was thinking Titanic...but that movie is soooo long and I saw a few times already...not sure if it will have the same impact.

Thanks for your help fellows...or women..:)

Hmm..

Well Full moon wo Sagashite is a girls anime but it has some seriously sad moments (plus the story is kinda trgic to begin with). Honey and Clover has some pretty emotional scenes and is a great series. Victorian Romance Emma is a wonderful series (it gives you the feeling that you are watching a anime BBC show) though it is too short, i hope they animate the rest of the comic series. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Voices of a Distant Star sounds like it would be perfect for you. It involves a boy losing his soul mate, but he's reminded all the way into manhood about her.

Sweet! Is this an anime or a regular movie?

How about watching any number of Japanese or Korean movies where some dude or some broad gets cancer just as they fall in love

Try Dragonball Z. It's pretty sad.
Son Goku dies and lets his wife and child behind.

That series is waaaaaay too long. I used watch is when I was younger.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

As for non-anime stuff, Someone recommended the movie "The Notebook"....Should I look into that one?

:lol

I swear after seein my roommate watch some of those korean dramas, most of those series go by the same plot. Oh yeah and you also get a crying scene probably every 15 or 20 minutes or so.

EDIT: Why not try listening to some sad music instead?
