Saints Row 3, what would you like to see?

Well, without being absolutely ridiculous and having a white preppy looking fella sound like 50 Cent or B-Real, I had to make him sound like a degenerate Simon Cowell? FFS, that's not cool. If you're going to do anything of the sort with "voices", put the character back to those of the GTA3 days where they don't speak at all.
"That mute shit was gettin' old."

Keep it mostly like Saints Row 2. By far, one of my favorite games of the generation. Only thing I'd want is random events and infinite minigames, to play after the story and sidequests are done, and keep the crazy good customization and make it even better. Seriously, that was badass.

And like other said, bring back the voice actress for the first female voice. She was damn awesome.

Saints Row 2 don't get enough credit. Obviously it is a GTA rip-off, but damn I wish all rip-offs were this good.

Played it on PC, not getting the hate. People say that performance is bad but look at GTA IV.

Open-world games with high resolution textures and at very high resolutions are just very demanding, get over it.

The 'hispanic' sounding voice was appropriate for a white guy, just a few curses in Spanish every once in a while.

I remember when I played it that I went with the stupid british voice because my character wasn't a homie or an esse. Not sure why they didn't have a 4th option, "standard everyday Joe Friday". Hell, they could've made it satirical as hell too. Dead pan. Would've been great.

Point was: not every voice needs an accent.

Since then, I've resolved that if I ever play through it in coop with my buddy, I'm making a new character who will look like Ed Wuncler III and I'll just use the 50 Cent/Thug voice. :)

Which reminds me... I'm still irritated there wasn't trophies in or patched into SR2. :\

The only thing is, I'm sure they're overhauling their create-a-character. So I think you'd be better served by making a new one anyway. That said I want to bring back my blonde guy with spikey hair covered in arm, chest and back tattoos as close as possible.

Yeah I was kind of disapointed I couldn't import my guy from the first game to the second.

Amazing :lol Is that in the game?

Yeah. It only happens with certain songs, but if you are driving and not being chased by cops when the song plays, your character will start singing along to the radio. :D

That must have been the most epic VO recording session, I tells ya. :lol

As solid PC port. You always leaned forward on motorcycles, making them unusable.

For the love of God keep the British accent, without it I might not even get it.

Nothing like walking down the street in a suit/top hat with a red curly mustache and a pimp cane and yelling at pedestrians in a Cockney accent... Even better, doing that naked.... Still with a top hat.

Well each of the 6 character voices will sing along to that song, some guy just combined them all for the video.

In addition to that song, each of the voices sings along to one other song. It's pretty awesome when it happens.

Hey while we're on the subject, anyone here have the Quasar? I've been looking for that vehicle for a year and a half now.
For the chop shop? If I'm remembering correctly it can only be found in the Ultor Dome parking lot.

At least that's where I remember finding the one ultra rare car.

They sing along to at least three songs. "Karma Chameleon", "Sister Christian", and "Take On Me".

A fucking PC port that is actually PLAYABLE when you pay for it. SR2 was a complete rip off and the devs were aware

Hmmm its not for the chop shop I don't think, it's an infamously rare vehicle I just want for my collection. Looks like a Nordberg SUV, but it's not.

More offensively misogynistic female characters please. The best part of SR2 was that they basically wrote the main character as male and had a woman re-record the lines. So awesome. :lol

A badass latina bitch is pretty much the only way to play the game correctly. :lol

Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to pimp it out...

A more fully realized city.

Jumping from GTAIV's amazing city to Saints Row 2's city was pretty apparent. While GTAIV had in my opinion, the greatest open world city in a videogame i've ever laid eyes on, Saints Row 2 had a bland boring city that seemed like it was straight of last generation...

To me, nothing stood out and was just flat and boxy...get rid of that!

Full customization options for your gang.

No one would fuck with the Saints if they were all dressed as hot dogs.
Now that's awesome...Though I might form a crew full of flashers and other assorted sexual deviants.

Thats one of the little things that I love about this game. Same with all the comments random people say to you on the street, talking bout things you just did.

What I also would love to see are more hidden locations (like the one under the graveyard) but this time with some kinda mission or activity involved that only can be started there.

Ewww, I don't wanna see anything that was part of this clusterfuck of a game anywhere near SR 3.

I rather have some made up and somewhat unrealistic locations like the plant or the caverns than this boring ass city from GTA 4 where you could do next to nothing but playing stupid ass games with horrible mechanics (besides Dart, that was fun) with your annyoing friends who want to be treated like spoiled bitches "Ohh, pick me up Nicoo, why don't you bring me home? Don't you like my anymore?"

Wait, sorry for that, I'm in my GTA 4 hate mode again.

the fuck ? I am searching for this car for like years now. ( did you get it with or without cheats ? and from which part of the city)

Saints Row 2 was awesome. I had a blast playing through the story. I enjoyed it way more than GTA 4 and I played GTA 4 first and I had hard time finishing that game. Saints Row 2 was just a blast to play. I tried Saints Row 1 after and man that game sorta sucks compared SR2. I think they moved forward in a great direction still didn't care for multiplayer I thought GTA 4 did that way better. But the story direction was awesome.

yup , SR2 >> SR1 ( still good game tho )

one of the big problem with SR1 was the lack of variety for missions , and the poor respect system ( forced by mini games only ) and both got fixed in SR2.

I think they moved forward in a great direction still didn't care for multiplayer (..... ) But the story direction was awesome

agree too , I really hope they don't pull a RF:G and focus on multi-player mode over the single player mode for SR3.

More modular progression. I like that the first game was meaty, but it eventually got to the point where I was like "PLEASE LET ME JUST BEAT THIS STUPID THING ALREADY." If more of the quests were optional they could still be there and playable (if they're awesome, peopl will play them) without making it seem like a slog

Improved and more dynamic animation. Maybe throw in some awesome context-sensitive bits. This game is the wacky one right? So why can't I do some awesome silly shit straight out of something like Shoot Em Up or Cranked?

More open missions for maximum creativity. I realize that most people just screw around with open world games, but I can't help but feel that part of the reason they do that is because the missions are just less interesting than using your imagination. The solution? More missions that are left open to the player in terms of how to pull them off. Let's say you have to kill a guy? Maybe you get an assault rifle and kill a path to them--maybe you walk straight up to them low profile and then melee kill them--maybe you drive a car strapped with sticky bombs at them at top speed, then detonate it after diving out at the last second.

ONE MORE THING--please continue providing fun melee stuff. Slicing dudes heads off in these games is always way more fun than running around like a turret with legs. Plus I always have this compulsion to finish any underground fighting league quest line (even in Ballad of Gay Tony...)

I think I've said this before and I'll say it again, Geomod 2.0 (or 2.5) is all that is needed and I'll be happy but not on all buildings and objects or a minigame that lets me destroy buildings RF:G style (which reminds me, I need to find my copy).

Other things that I would like are hair showing through headwear when my character wears them (I know that must be a bitch to get right), a new city or at least an expansion of Stilwater + a new city ala GTA: SA but with stuff to do in between the areas, and maybe better writing/ humor, although I laughed out loud a few times playing SR2. I still loved the character customization and the over-the-top stuff plus all the cool looking bases and interior environments and Johnny Gat. I hope Gat gets more screen time in SR3 like he did in SR1 because in SR2 he gets a decent amount of screen time before you finish his missions (not to mention that he also becomes a Homie). Also wanted to add that I hope the melee/ hand-to-hand combat gets expanded because I loved kicking ass Bruce Lee style as Mexican sounding Don Omar look-a-like and using the Katana.

I would love to see an expansion on loft customization (e.g have all gang members tote the pimp cane shotgun which was my favorite weapon in the game if only for the pimp walk animation which was awesome).I'm sure SR3 will be great regardless.

Slightly off-topic: Anyone still play SR2 and would be down for some co-op and/or MP (Xbox 360)? I haven't gotten around to playing much of it; only a few main missions witth a random dude, and side missions with another random guy who had cheats on and messed up my record (I got locked out on the hitman achievement), so I'm after the first mission. Let me know but note that my mic is busted and I haven't gotten a new one yet.

Some sort of inclusion of the geomod stuff would be nice. Probably won't happen due to the technical limitations of such a game though.

I'd like to see more work around the 'homies'. Its still one of the best parts of the Saint's Row games where you can have hirelings that actually seem to function (AI) pretty well and when pitted against other AI causes some really funny scenarios and lines.
(some of my best memories of the SR1&2 games were having all out wars with 2 gangs and having pedestrians and police involved)

More varied missions though I was pretty happy with SR2 in that regard.

Better graphics.

Other than those few things I thought SR1&2 were some of the best games this gen regarding the sandbox genre. They didn't take themselves too seriously which is what made themselves fun. I don't always need an 'oscar worthy story' to consider a game to be great, there were so many fun and goofy things to do in the SR series that emergent gameplay easily made up for the goofy story.

They should make some sort of way you get to play as a cop. Like some bonus mission or something. That would be fun

Everyone keeps saying better graphics but I liked the look of the game. And would rather it stay the same then see a frame rate drop. I would like to see some crazy guns like from crackdown or something just nuts instead of more realistic.

No cheats, just luck and perseverance. I found it parked in the parking lot in front of the Downtown Crib. :D Just keep doing laps around the block and eventually you should get one. It looks kind of a like a Nordberg which can be confusing.

They do kind of, the Fuzz side missions where you run around in a cop uniform and cop car with a cameraman, and you chainsaw hookers and stuff.

That it actually works. My SR2 copy on xbox has extreme problems, doesn´t load after you mount the boat to escape from prison, sometimes doen´t even load the prison geometry. Installing doesn´t work, either, because of a disc error after 60% or so.

Sounds like you just got a bum disc, I hope you returned it for a new one.
