loved Saints Row 2, cant wait for the return of the samedi, ronans etc
I have to imagine there will be all new gangs in 3, and (please god) a new city too.

Stilwater is cool and all but we've been there twice now, it's time for a change.

It sucks that it wont be out until summer next year at the earliest but atleast there going to make it as tight as possible. Plus its great that there backing the game big time as a franchise. More people need to experience how awesome it is.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Best open world game along with Crackdown and Just Cause 2. Over the top fun, funny and insane story, and co-op!

Please be 4 players this time... :D

SR2 is one of my favourite games this gen. New info on SR3 was the thing I anticipated most about this year's E3. I wish we didn't have to keep waiting, but at least this announcement means I can be moderately satisfied. However, I question the whole transmedia promotion thing. Why would I want to watch an SR movie or read an SR book? Everything in the game hangs off the protagonist created by the player. It's not Mass Effect, in which Shep can take a backseat to the universe. The defining features of SR2 are what the player can do in the world, not the world itself. I foresee an Uwe Boll feature in which the word 'Ultor' is the only tie to the game universe. I just hope THQ focuses on the game, and doesn't waste money on ridiculous marketing attempts which are doomed to fail.

I think Keith David reprising his role of Julius could make for an awesome SR flick. :lol

Honestly, if putting out a movie and some other stuff gets more people interested in the Saints Row games, more power to THQ and Volition I say.

"We're also going to have a collectible card game, we're going to have books, we're going to have mechandise - we're going to build this thing out into the biggest transmedia blowout ever seen," he said at the meeting.

Jesus Christ I'm one of the bigger Saints Row fans but this is so not fucking necessary. It's BEYOND ridiculous.

Card game? BOOKS? FUCK DAT SHIT SON

What is wrong with this industry.

Omg and also a movie.. oh man this shit is going to fail beyond words. Everything except the game ofcourse, which will be GLOOOOORIOUS
