Wonderful 101 is already sufficiently represented in SSB4 by the Mii Characters (after all we are the 101st member of their little team if the trailer didn't lie to us), no need to include Wonder Red over characters from new IPs which did actually sell. Like...anyone from Rhythm Heaven. Or Pushmo. Did Hana Samurai outsell W101? Probably, so him too.

The actual game says that for its intro, too, but that only applies at the start of the game (And even then, the team is called "The Wonderful 100" in-story). After you beat it, the team goes from The Wonderful 100 to The Wonderful 101, as the 101st member joins and you're no longer playing the game. So your Mii is not the 101st Member of the team.

I don't care about sales, either; basically, we're at a logic-be-damned point in character development! Wonder Red is already a combat-ready character from a game that needs more love. Arguing a Mii Fighter is a W101 rep and we thus don't need Red is like arguing that a Mii Fighter is a Wii Fit rep and we don't need the Wii Fit Trainer. And defending the Wii Fit Trainer is a hill I'm willing to die on.

So yeah I don't think it's a very sound line of thinking. Sakurai does whatever the fuck he wants. Losing an AT to gain a character is not a farfetched idea.

Actually seems like the kind of thing Sakurai would find amusing.

You don't even have to remove the AT. There's already the option to have 8 of the same characters run around a stage, so there's no reasonable argument against a "ninth" character being an AT.

You can keep the AT and have that current AT character be playable.

I think Waluigi pulling another Waluigi out of an Assist Trophy is very in character for Waluigi.

Ballot Characters aren't coming until early 2016. They'll be an August Update with 2 new characters. They will be Wolf and I'm guessing Dixie Kong since Sakurai has shown interest in having her join before. Then in March we'll get 2 ballot characters King K Rool and someone else. Finally right before next E3 we'll get the final 2 ballot characters to round out the roster ending up with 59 characters + random = 60 slots. They'll redesign the CSS to have 4 rows containing 15 slots each.

That is 2 DK characters as DLC... not going to happen, I think.

I would love Kumatora in smash, but I know chances are low. Wonder Red, Wolf and Isaac are my bets.

This could mean characters we're missing (Ice Climbers, Pichu, Wolf, Ivysaur, Squirtle) or could mean characters we've been missing (Dixie, Tetra, Chorus Kids, Toad, Ridley) or old characters we want back (K Rool, Banjo, Takamaru) or just out of left field ones that people have wanted for years (Geno, Sora, Batman).

I'd love to see all vets return, plus all the characters that are big deals that aren't in, plus all the old ones...just give us another 50 characters. I'm sure we'll take all of them.

Am I alone in wishing that all of the moving/transitional stages had another selectable variation other than omega? This variation would remove the stage transitions and keep the fighting on whichever chosen "level" of the stage that you picked.

For example, you could pick the mario sunshine level and choose to only fight on the island and the stage would never transition to another area.

This might be easy to implement and it would add a whole bunch of "new" stages to the game. I don't necessarily like the transition stages, but I like fighting in certain parts of them so I think for me this would be an awesome addition.
