If nothing else, non-native English speakers wouldn't notice how tone-deaf the acting is in the prequels. That right there might make them more appealing to Japanese viewers.

Makes me wonder if anime also sounds awful when heard in its native tongue, but if you didn't grow up speaking Japanese, you're none the wiser and might actually prefer subs, lol.

No matter which character you pick, half of the posts that appear in the background are straight-up Star Wars spoilers.

Avoid the Miiverse stage until you've seen the new Star Wars!

Samus I can definitely agree with due to some truly bizarre hitboxes but I'm going to call bullshit on Zelda and Jiggs sitting alongside her. I've seen people easily manage to two-stock people in For Glory with those two and I think it comes down to knowing how to effectively use their limited toolset rather than just being outright gimped like Samus is.

Really the only thing in terms of representation that feels off about Samus post-Melee

besides the huge emphasis on Other M of all things

is the lack of different beam types the Prime games popularized. Using Light Beams to stun someone, Dark Beams to 'poison' them and other hyjinx would be really cool. Everything else like the screw attack, grapple beam, missiles and bombs are still pretty important in all of her recent games.

I prefer subs for exactly this reason. I find that I can accept a much higher degree of ham when it's a subtitle for a language I don't understand than when I have to listen to someone try to actually deliver the line.

Likewise, when a game has vocals added in later editions, I usually find it jarring.

Um, performances on For Glory don't really have anything to do with how viable a character is in actual tournaments. Zelda and Jigglypuff are generally considered amongst the worst characters in the game.

People have two stocked people with Samus in FG, as well.

The prequels are terrible, but the spanish voice actors help a little with some characters, like both anakins (kid and shitty christensen), still bad dont get me wrong, but a little more bearable.
