and used a rom that allows the bottom nav bar to be hidden
full screen 720x1280 master race

If they can squeeze the .2 inches screen size increase into the same size body i'm all for it, but i don't want any larger phone. GS3 is within the limits of being still good to use and not too big.

GS3 is so good that i have no desire to upgrade anytime soon, maybe for GS5.

5 inches? ahahah that's ridiculous 4.7 or whatever the S3 display is it's already too much 4.3 is the sweet spot (and also the maximum size for a phone to be confortable in your pocket)

The GS3 is the sweet spot for me. Phones need to expand, other than "Here's more specs, here's more screen real estate!"

Is Samsung still keeping the retarded half-height home button? A phone that bloody big with all that space at the bottom, and the home button somehow gets scrunched down till you can barely hit the damn thing using it with one hand.

Samsung used to make media players at five inches and those weren't so far off from the S3. I think they could convince their current customers it's a good standard if they keep it at that size. Shrinking the bezel some more couldn't hurt.

I agree 4.3 is the best size for a smart phone, though.

Onscreen buttons samsung. Time to let go of the capacitive and hardkey nonsense. Embrace it! if they do that, they can fit the 5" screen on the same sized device as the S3 and not have to increase the dimensions at all. We shall see. But Im alot more interested in the HTC Two X. That sweet sweet LCD2.

Just buy the new Docobmo Fujitsu Girls Popteen!

Even Popteens like double clocks! Hai Hai Hai Hai Hai Hai

While those are horrible it was nice time when there was more then one desing to choose from.
The Nokia 7600 is wonderful the only thing that kept me to buying it at the time was the lack of memory expansion and it had something like 32MB of storage.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/17/tech/mobile/samsung-galaxy-s-4/index.html

Summary:

Samsung will unveil the S4 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February 2013

Galaxy S4 will be released in March of 2013

Screen Size is said to be increasing from 4.8 inches to 5 inches

the new device “will see some external changes but [will] retain its rectangular shape with rounded corner concept”

This is all from Korean Times. So take that as you will. CNN is also reporting it now

Glad I waited and didn't jump on the S3, even though I really want to. March 2013 is when I can renew my contract.

As someone who didn't want a bigger iPhone screen, these screen size wars are getting stupid.

I miss the days when high-tech meant smaller.

Reminds me of this.

"Fuck everything. We're doing five inches."

I'm still using a phone with a 3.7" screen and new flagship phones are 5" big? Gross. The largest screen I could handle is a 4.3" at most.

I'm always blown away by people offended at tech progress, the very same people that tend to be blown away with refinement of said tech.

A five inch edge to edge screen will be glorious, and feasible by next year, all with a form factor the same size as the current GS3, possibly slightly smaller.
