Man I don't know what to do

My Note 2 screen is broke now and I need a new phone badly but this phones screen will be smaller and I don't know if I can handle a downsize.

But Galaxy S6 has better specs than like any other Galaxy phone right?

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

I mean, you could always get a Note 4, right?

Is Samsung going with a Exynos processor for the NA model going to cause issues with app compatibility? It seems like for this market at least, Snapdragon SOC's are pretty much standard. Even with the high end 2015 handsets it seems like Samsung is going against the herd by not using the Snapdragon 810.

No one has posted the S6 renders?

iphone 4 is still my favorite smartphone look, and if iphones still looked like it I'd still be on ios instead of android.

If this S6 delivers, it will be my next phone. But the live pictures look nowhere near as good as those renders. And that camera popout, just ugh.

I've been needing to upgrade from my 4S for a long time now. Hopefully the S6 turns out great so it can be my next phone. Should be fun switching to a new OS! :P

Hopefully Samsung gets the Touchwiz lock ups figured out if this is non removable.

Wife has had to pull the battery a few times on her note edge already to force reset.

Quite a lot of people actually stuck with Samsung for the plastic backs. Reviewers always called it out, but some people do prefer it. If you can find the people saying they don't want glass wanting the plastic gone previously, then I'll go with you. otherwise, it;s just different peoples opinions..

My problem with the Samsung phone was the horrible plastic chrome plated sides. Looked cheap, cheap, cheap. Heck , the S5 is worse than the S4.

Personally, I like plastic backs, but the plastic on the S4 was cheap feeling as shit. The least of the phones problems, but I prefer the plastic on the back of my Nexus 6 to any glass.

Now Motorola knows how to make a great plastic phone. Look at the MotoE/MotoG/MotoX/Nexus6 lineup.

I still think it's stupid not to include micro sd. The A3 just launched and it has two slots, one for micro and other for sims. That's the biggest fuck up with this phone.

Will there be any tablets revealed tomorrow or is the focus only on phones for the event?

The iPad Air 2 clone version of the Galaxy Tab S 2 has been rumored to be revealed as it seems like its been benchmarked and discussed a lot recently. Personally I want a revamp to their 12.2 or at least 10.5 tablets.

?>?! Guess I will wait to see what they'll do with the Note5. If they flip flop to a total flop then my next phone will be Sony. My current one is a Note 3.

Edge wasn't on my radar, was going to either get the S6 or One M9 (currently have Z1). But those pictures/video may have changed my mind.

TouchWiz still looks ugly as hell, no matter how beautiful Samsung make the screen. I'll admit the Edge curved screen looks nice, but I'd only get it when I can install vanilla Lollipop on it. If I can't, it's Nexus all the way.

No removeable battery and no micro sd killed my interest.

I'm happy anyway with my Xperia Z1 Compact but have an upgrade due shortly. Was curious but with no micro-sd, I've no reason to even consider this.

Kinda Edit: I realise the Xperia Z1C doesn't have a removeable battery. The micro sd is more important but if the S6 had a pop out battery, it would have been a selling point to tempt me away

I still cant believe Samsung got rid of the 2 key reasons to get one of their phones over the competition. SD Card slot and Removable Battery. Crazy...

Yeah, removable battery and SD cards are too damn important for me to consider upgrading from an S4 to an S6. I will watch with curiosity, but I don't expect to have my mind changed.

I'm the opposite, this is the first Samsung phone I'd consider buying. It's got wonderful design and you can get the 64gb or 128gb variant if you want more space (base is supposed to be a generous 32gb). Don't care about a removable battery, if I need to switch it out in the future if it can't hold a charge, I can always open it up and do it myself.

How do you plan on doing that? They won't sell spare batteries for non-removable battery phones.

My friend who works for Samsung said they will be showing a VR headset at the event too. Has that been brought up yet? I think he said you slide your phone into the set when it's on your head.

Samsung obviously felt that those differentiators weren't having the desired effects and weren't making up for lost sales, so are now going in a different direction, which seems to be focusing on the build quality. Plus, like with Apple it makes sense for them to force people to shell out more money for more storage. Pretty much everybody else in the phone business forgo the removable battery and especially the expandable storage route years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the other Galaxy devices retain them, maybe the Note line-up? If sales are up to Samsung's expectations with these devices, I don't think those features would return, ever and I think that the Galaxy line has enough mind-share in the android space to thrive without those features.

Are you serious? Of course you can buy a replacement battery, you can buy and replace pretty much anything on phones if you have the know-how.

Samsung going backwards, awful.

Will have to wait until the G4 and Z4 get announced then choose one of them as my next phone.

I'm not really sold on the whole "edge" concept, and boy does Samsung have a knack for making the Galaxy line look chunkier and less streamlined with each iteration.

My S4 might be as far as I go.

Backwards? More like dropping antiquated tech concepts that the mass consumer doesn't care about. Being able to include 32/64GB stock sizes means an SD slot is only going to be used by a tiny fraction of users while adding cost and thickness. Same thing with modern batteries.

If you wanted a PC with a DVD-ROM, a PC mfgr isn't going backwards because they don't make one.
