Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge |OT|

I keep clicking the "download" link while on the edge settings but nothing comes up. I tried rebooting also. Anyone else have this issue? At one point I was able to get the CNN edge and I wanted to go back and see if there was anything else I wanted.

Oh, I didn't think I had gotten an email, but I did and I was able to add the card back in.

Initially it had just added the card directly in the app.

yeh part of the reason why i haven't upgraded from my s6 edge yet. i def use it alot ... waterproofing wouldn't be the reason would it, my xperia tab2 still has a IR blaster..


one word of caution with samsung's enhanced messaging btw guys ... if you loose yr data connection ..it does NOT automatically switch to normal SMS ..

so i ended up misisng a bunch of "txts" last night from my mate when my phone hit it's hard data cap , just so happened my wifi is down this week at home too .. but yeh .. something to be aware of if yr out in the wild and yr phone is caught hunting between wifi hotspots..
 
Just got my email that my Gear VR promo submission was approved. Nervous about whatever they have for my shipping location, any way to check/change? Thanks
 
Just got my email saying my Gear VR was approved as well.

Which is funny, because I was thinking of returning my S7 Edge (not because the phone is bad, was just thinking about switching to Project Fi), and I have until Friday to do so. Free Gear VR?
 
Got it today and wow I mostly love it, definitely the sexiest phone ever, upgraded from a HTC m8 though and I do miss a couple of things, no tap on the screen to wake, pressing a button feels such a ball ache and no hold down letters for symbols on the keyboard, I'll probably get used to and then love all this phones features in time but crazy how a couple of tiny things I never really even thought about are now pissing me off by being missing
 
Mine was approved too! I got one email, but I had two orders. My ordered were 2 days apart, so it will be interesting to see if that was for one, or both. The email does not give much information .... No idea if the shipping is correct either.

April 1st shipping date .... I wonder if this is a Samsung joke.

Edit: Ugh. My second one is set to ship April 18th! I registered the second phone only 2 days later and still before release day!

Enable the symbol keyboard in the keyboard settings for long press symbols
 
So that free year of Netflix comes up as a $119.88 credit to your Netflix account. That can go a bit longer than a year for some people.
 
I think I like the way the battery lasts better with the always on display turned off. I'll need some more time to be sure but I thought I wouldn't be able to notice any difference at all.

And yeah submission approved and preparing for shipment for the Gear S2. Shipping date estimate is pending however.
 
Shattered the left side of the phone's class, have never dropped a phone before in my life. Warranty doesn't cover damage going by ATT's site. Fuck ;-;

Is the only option buying another phone?
 
Shipping gear vr on 4/1 as well, Finally!! I can't wait to start using it. Also redeemed my Netflix code, if my price stays at 7.99 I'll be getting 15 months of free Netflix :D

So if I go into ATT doing that they will just magically give me a new phone? If that doesn't work how do you set up the insurance? Do I need to wait a few days before I then replace my phone? How much is it?

Add the device insurance to your plan with AT&T now for $7.99 a month for one device, you can do it on the website. Go to a CORPORATE store tomorrow, tell them that you dropped it that morning. Good thing you just got insurance, huh? They might replace it there and then if they have any, otherwise you'll need one sent to you.

No point in always on, IMO. If it behaved more like Moto's active display, then at least it would serve a purpose.
 
Always on would be better if it just turned on briefly when it detects that you're taking your phone out of your pocket. No point having it on 100% of the time in your pocket and the constant moving is too distracting if you leave it on a table next to you.
