Just great. Samsung promo website said order shipping April 1st, I had moved, so on Saturday I sent them an email saying I needed the address updated, checked status today on the gearvr, it had updated from shipping April 1st to delivered.

Not at my new house, drove by checked old house but package not on the front porch. Sure the new tenants took the package in. No lights were on at 10pm, going to swing by tomorrow and politely ask for my package, to which they can just say we didn't get one :/

Nova Launcher makes the S7 experience so much better..

Go to the apps manager, show system apps, search for the phone app (there are 3 of them) and clear the cache/data.

Played with the GearVR last night. Initially I could not for the life of me figure out where/how to get the app. Nothing in the Play store, nothing in the Samsung app store. Event the URL on the card that came with it to sign up was incorrect. Didn't know you had to plug in the phone to the headset to "activate" it on the phone (probably should've read the directions first).

That aside, I watched a few demos and movies and the experience so far has lived up to expectation. The D-pad really doesn't seem like it should do anything since there's no haptic feedback so it was tough determining if I'm swiping it on the right spot to scroll, you also tap it to register a "click" which led to some unintended clicks when I was trying to feel around for the pad.

I started getting nauseous after a while though so I had to stop. I'm going to try using it with a controller tonight but I can't imagine playing games too long on this thing. Also not sure if I just need to adjust to it.

I'm kind of getting the vibe that I won't enjoy any Gear VR games that actually require a controller. Esper 2 is exactly the kind of game I want more of.

I'm weeks in and do far haven't came close to dropping my S7 even once! I'm using the bdrand skin, which actually hasn't help grip that in any major way, but I have no fingerprints on the back now and the whole look is really great. Phone still runs silky smooth and battery life is generally good as well so far.

Finally got the S7 Edge, traded in my S6 Edge and paid nothing up front because my S6 was the 128 GB version. I actually ended up getting money off my next monthly bill. Love the phone so far, haven't used it extensively yet though.

I got the Spigen curved crystal dry install screen protector for my s7 edge. You can definitely tell it is there but it does not feel rubbery. It gripped to the edges pretty damn good, exceeded my expectations.

If they tell you that their backordered let them know you still want to sign up to get a replacement so you can get it as fast as possible. I did that and got a replacement the next day even though they told me it might be weeks before I got a replacement

I am using silicon power superior pro 64gb, so far no problem. Only thing is moving apps to SD is troublesome.

So, I jumped in and got myself a Galaxy S7. Traded my iPhone 6 64GB for it.

My first android phone in 5 years and I'm liking it. Samsung skin is ugly so I installed a launcher with some nice icons. I like how I can customize almost anything.

About the phone itself:
- Charging: It is ridiculously fast. It gets hot, but respectable.
- Camera: well, we have all seen the pictures in this thread. It's amazing.
- Screen: This might be the most beautiful screen I have ever seen. The colors pop off the screen and black is really black. Specially nice with dark backgrounds.

Android:
- Ads everywhere! Holy hell android is getting spammed with ads. Almost every app and website has more apps than with iOS. Which is the best android add blocker? I don't mind non-intrusive ads.
- Marshmallow is pretty. Nice animations and a much better UI than I remember from few years ago.

Guys, how good of deal is THIS for the International version of the Edge? Looks like it's the better CPU, and it's the only one that you can Root right?

I'm a iPhone guy from the beginning, but kinda want to switch because of the awesome hardware and the (rooted) adblock.

Only thing I'm worried about would be if there is a problem with it I'd have no warranty. Oh and touchwiz.

Question about sd cards. When you put yours in, was there a set up process that was prompted or did you havever to go to settings>storage>for?

Tech are saying that a prompt to set up my external storage should have come up but so far this has never happened with two different sd cards.





Yep. Been trouble shooting with Twitter support all day and they're just running around in circles clueless. They know there's an issue but they don't understand it. I'm going to try exchanging tomorrow. I called best buy and they're holding a spare for me.

Had a bit of a nerve-wracking experience earlier today, was filming a video and the phone hard locked and completely crashed. Black screen, totally unresponsive, I was holding a brick for 10 minutes... then the ATT screen turned on very dimly and a few minutes later it had rebooted.

No idea what caused that but I was worried I had a fried phone for a while there. Anybody have this happen before? I've had a few other camera crashes in recent days, but nothing to that extent. Should I check for an update or something?

Same. Broke my Zenfone 2 so I'm looking at a new phone. The galaxy S7 edge and Nexus 6P are tempting. Both are relatively expensive here outright in Canada (S7 Edge will run me 1127, 6P will be about 790) but I want to have a premium phone for once.

Just going to find a deal and test them out first in store.

Same thing happened to me this morning. I was browsing the web looked up then looked back down at my phone and it was black, it didn't respond at all. Did a hard reset and after a couple tries it started ringing, when I finally got the phone to turn back on i had a missed call from an unknown number, weird shit lol hope this doesn't happen again. I still wonder who called since I barely got this number a month ago but that's besides the point haha.

Just ordered the s7 edge. Picking it up tomorrow. Coming from iOS since 2009 (lol) whats the first thing I do with the S7? What software does it come with, Marshmallow? I always used jailbreak on my iphones for maximum tinkering so do I instantly root my new S7?

Didn't hurt the device at all. Simply wiped it down and was good to go. I was a bit sad that I didn't get to test the warning that tells you if the USB charging port is wet or not.

Are you using a case? Mine is in a case and the lens is mint but if you go caseless I expect the lens would get marks because it sticks out.

Yes, as long as you don't go too deep. I also wouldn't recommend trying it in salt water.

I upgraded to this from a HTC One M7. I love that they've managed to have a big screen and keep the phone a reasonable size as I hate those huge phones. The design of the phone is hands down the sexiest of anything out there.

Only complaints I have coming from the One are the speakers on this are in a dumb location. It's easy to just cover it with a finger when watching something. The phone has also crashed on me twice while using Chrome. My One never crashed like that. Maybe the browser would crash but not the whole phone. I also can't get WiFi calling to work at my house. I'm guessing a router setting needs to be changed?
