It takes up a unformatable parition and autoruns its shit. To remove it you need special tools from Sandisk's site.RevoDS said:What's the problem then? It does absolutely nothing if you decide not to use it.

Anyway, I've found a great solution for anyone who finds the orange glow overly pervasive and annoying; check it out.
CAN I GEt AN AMENsoqquatto said:well it was about time. having a orange led that glows on the stick is clearly a SLAP IN THE FACE for users that do not like orange or lights or sticks alltoghether. I for one demand a quick and firm action to stop this. if we condone this kind of behavior on sandisk part we might end up with god knows what kind of zany design decisions and we cannot allow it.
orange glowing lightts on usb sticks must be stopped.

Uninstall that shit. I just uninstalled the U3 on mine last weekend and I couldn't be happier with it. Two people already noticed how happy I was and asked me to do it for them, and have already thanked me for making their lives brighter.Purkake4 said:It's bad, but nothing compared to the abomination that is the U3 crap that they put on it.
Well duh, it's just ridiculous that you need a special uninstaller from Sandisk to purge it from the stick.ruby_onix said:Uninstall that shit.
