Fucking lol at the Repeater Crossbow! It like 3 of Returnals most OP weapons rolled into one!

So Housemarque thought they would take the Dreadbound but make it useful at all ranges then add poison and then Replicating Rockets! Why stop there might as well add Portal Beam😂😂. Not to mention the Dispirter is basically Portal Rot.

I thought Saros was about as Difficult as Returnal but maybe not after this😂

Well, that was frustrating. I get a new weapon, some bullshit called Chakram Disc Spinner. It sucks dick. Makes no sense. Does no damage even at level 47 and i was forced to give up my Godly Repeater Crossbow for it. Was pretty much forced to go with this retarded weapon to the boss fight, and for some reason the boss fight;s health bar wasnt really moving with this shit fucking excuse for a weapon. Died after dodging non stop for what felt like 15 minutes. so dumb.

you just cant take away the player's weapon so late in the game.

This exact thing happened to me today. The game forces you to pick the Chakram up to open a gate to progress and dispossess your currently equipped gun. I was so pissed.

Also, I'm just now learning about Attribute Volatility. Sounds like you might of had Resilience → Arrogance.

Per GamingBolt
Attribute Volatility, which lets you break the cap on different stats, allowing something like Integrity to go much higher than intended — but with drawbacks. The three volatility states and their penalties:

  • Resilience → Arrogance: Makes it so you cannot see the health of any hostiles. This includes bosses — during fights you will see a gray bar that does not drop. GameRant
  • Command → Ignorance: Reduces the visibility of the corruption effects on Arjun's Soltari armor. GameRant
  • Drive → Negligence: If you die during the current cycle, you will lose all of your Lucenite regardless of any nodes unlocked in the Armor Matrix. No exceptions.

Decided to start a new save file from scratch in Returnal and do it all over again, the game is so good. Will make a longer post on my overall thoughts on Saros and why Returnal is the superior game too 👌

Nice one my guy, which biome did you tick that off in?

lol I had the same experience as you last night. Went from a sexy repeater crossbow with busted power synergy with unlimited prominence shots that vacuum bullets to ....THAT THING.

It felt like such a bad time to introduce a new weapon, and honestly the experience put me off wanting to pick that gun up when it drops altogether.

Its a fantastic game. A bit on the easy side, but if you liked Returnal, you should get it asap.
9,5/10 for me, and only beaten by Resident Evil 9 so far this year.
I agree with you. It's one of the best games on the PS5 and was worth the day 1 purchase. Saros just looks and sounds amazing on the screen and is so much fun to play.

I think they truly did improve on Returnal's overall formula. The built in difficulty modifier was interesting to use and felt flexible enough. I need to run through the game again without modifiers to get a real feel for the overall challenge as I had opted to take off the item curses, and while I really liked not having to juggle an extra layer of choices, I do wonder how much I shot myself in the foot with that on in terms of making the experience easier than intended. Will definitely start a clean slot and replay it with the intended challenge.

I liked Saros' story. I do feel like Returnal had a much better story and the bosses stuck with you longer however. Legion was my only real roadblock and that was 3 runs to beat.

While I have preferred Biome's, none of them where particularly annoying ( Maybe the 2nd one, because there are no shortcuts). That's quite a feat in itself.

I have pity for the people trying the chackram weapons at low level and thinking they were shit when in reality they are the most broken weapons in the game.

The one that i thought was actually shit, the reaping chackram, is actually the most op shit in the game, ALL enemies just pop like balloons and boss melts in less than a minute, third boss lasted exactly 5 sec, didnt had even the time to leave his initial position and 4th boss went down in less than 30...without even using power weapons...

No idea how this passed the betatesting tbh...

That thing is the second most busted weapon in the game :lollipop_squinting:

Pick one with good perks and learn how to use it and it's gonna make feel the repeater like a toy for special kids...

I have beaten Shepherd in one try, I think I was overpowered. I had almost everything at max, my powerlevel got corrupted because I had to many points (or whatever). I find the best weapon to be the Repeater Crossbow, it just melts everything from a far. Love it.

I went back after beating Shepherd to the passage because I had 116K so didnt want to lose it but I regret it now :( I should have gone further.

To be honest I think this is a pretty funny troll on the devs part!

Alright, any tips for the King? I haven't had trouble with any of the other bosses (most defeated on the first try, a couple took two or three tries), but the King is kicking my butt :messenger_grinning_sweat: I don't like that I don't have second chance. :pie_unamused: I did disable second chance in modifiers to get a couple extra points since I can't use it anyway, but I just can't avoid enough hits. I keep dying in the third phase.
