I can't believe they cut off U2 doing "Ultraviolet" at the end. Sooo pissed.

Shoulda seen them live, sucker! :)

For the record, that UFO-ish encore is how they close the show on tour.

Whole show was just dead weight. Feel bad for the F-bomb girl, but it's been dropped a few times before. They might have fired Charles Rocket for it but that was a long time ago. Almost positive that's not why they fired Norm--the head of GE was close buddies with OJ Simpson.

After the announcement that Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley planned to divorce, Macdonald joked about their irreconcilable differences on Weekend Update: "She's more of a stay-at-home type, and he's more of a homosexual pedophile." He followed this up a few episodes later with a report about the singer's recent collapse and hospitalization. Referring to a report of how Jackson had decorated his hospital room with giant photographs of Shirley Temple, Macdonald remarked that viewers should not get the wrong idea, adding, "We'd like to remind you that Michael Jackson is, in fact, a homosexual pedophile." The joke elicited audible gasps from some audience members. He responded to this by saying, "What? He is a homosexual pedophile."[2]

From Wiki about Norm. Man, I miss him.:lol

Megan Fox did a lot better than I thought she would, but the writing was pretty weak through most of the show. Megan was frickin' hot though. She was hot as a flight attendant, she was hot as a Russian whore, she was hot as a biker chick, she was hot as the actress on the phone chat commercial, and she was hot was hot as the blonde chick practicing sex moves with the fat kid from Good Burgrer. The show wasn't that funny, but Megan looked completely bangable in every scene. Thumbs up from Coolio McAwesome.

Haha, I saw the face when I watched tonight but totally missed the f-bomb. Friggen and fucking are interchangeable for me.

Is it bad that I consider Megan Fox to be the highlight of this episode? Not (only) in the fact that she's hot, but she really just seemed a lot more relaxed and natural than any of the regulars, making them stand out as forced and kinda giving the "trying too hard" vibe. Anyone else?

Complete agreed actually. Seemed like she got into it.

And now 'F-bomb' is #8 on trending topics. :lol

I think people on Twitter just actively try to make the most non-relevant, retarded shit, news.

But that's a whole different thread.

Megan Fox's hot, right guys?

Megan did quite well actually. I was impressed. Especially since she doesn't usually do comedy. The new girls skit was annoying (except for the f bomb).

Not a very good premiere overall.

Cast members obviously reading cue cards throughout the show is awfully distracting.

Edit: No F-Bomb on the delayed broadcast. :(

Oh, they'll make sure the f-bomb is never seen again. Check the youtube clips while you can.

Seth is great, but they need a second person. It just works better that way.
Eh? Aren't Chevy Chase, Norm McDonald, and Dennis Miller widely seen as the best weekend update hosts? People who did it solo?

The Transformers short was great but apart from that this was one of the worst SNLs I have ever, EVER seen. And that is up against some pretty stiff competition.

I feel bad for the F-bomb girl. How smart was it to put a rookie in her debut show into a sketch where she has to say a low-grade substitute for the word "fucking" in almost every sentence? That's just asking for trouble.

It looks like they just dubbed over it with the audio from the dress rehearsal for the west coast because even though the offending word is gone she still makes the same "oh shit" face after delivering the line.

Will she back next week?

But yeah, it's worth saying again. Worst SNL in a looooong time, by a country mile.

Oh, come on. Question the writers' intelligence? Let's see YOU write something that will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people, and then you can criticize them.

Every episode of SNL, Simpsons, Family Guy, etc, several people think it's the worst episode ever and look back to the glory days. Never change gaf.

definitely one of the worst episode of the past couple seasons. digital shorts were the only good part.
Am I the only one who liked this episode? (or at least what I saw of it)

The plane sketch was hilarious and the digital shorts were good.

I was dying laughing at the Russian Prostitutes sketch.

Maybe I just tuned in and then tuned out at the right times....

Haha, pretty much.

I mean it wasn't a great episode, but there were a couple great (2 digital shorts + phone sex line) and a few good (Weekend Update + Russian hooker + Grady Wilson), and Megan Fox did better than most of their hosts these days.

It was an up and down episode which has basically been par for course for what, a decade now?

I knew I wasn't imagining it when I heard that girl drop the F-bomb! :lol Haven't watched this show in a loonnngg time but tuned in when I heard Megan Fox was hosting.

I thought she did great. I liked the digital short where she went to dinner with that "Swat" dude. lol.

I'd say it was average, or slightly below because Megan Fox isn't the greatest host.

It's average for SNL to have a few good skits, and the rest be mildly entertaining or even boring. I think people are remembering the best skits over seasons, or watching the best of SNL, and mistaking that for an average episode. Either that or as younger GAF members get older and have seen more of the typical kinds of comedy, it becomes less funny, and so to them SNL/Simpsons/etc get worse over time when it's really their perspective.
