This seems familiar. Is this a recurring sketch or is it just Kristen Wiig playing yet another awkward/annoying character? Because it's pretty much all she does, and they're starting to all blend together in my memory.

Just imagine how bottom of the barrel the stuff they cut after dress rehearsal is compared to what actually makes air sometimes.

She has done the Trina character before. I don't know why they brought it back because it didn't go over at all last time either and Wiig has so many other great characters they could use instead. That could have easily made that into a Penelope sketch.

James Franco says nothing...
Wyclef Jean just in the background in Shakira's performances...

It's silent-cameo night!

Only slightly better than last week's episode, which isn't saying much. Season has sucked so far. Way to celebrate 35 years, guys!

Holding out for last minute digital short save

The absurd dancing going on in the background was hilarious.

Jason Sudeikis busted his ass so hard he was still sweating in the next sketch.

No digital short means the show was a waste.

He's the only reason for watching the show anymore unless the host is awesome enough to carry the show ( The Rock, JT, Peyton Manning to name a few.)...

I laughed few times in regular scetches [ninjas in opening song, big ass, whats up with that], but damn that old ones are hilarious. I ALMOST DIED LAUGHING WHEN I SAW THAT CHRIS ROCK SEGMENT :lol :lol :lol "That's terrific! " :lol :lol :lol

Oh man, that's the second sketch they've done that centers almost completely around dancing. Wiig always destroys on those. But otherwise pretty flat.

Except, of course, for a particular Update segment that was, surprising no one, my favorite 2 minutes of SNL in history.

;D

Wow...Keenan Thompson is without a doubt the least funny cast member SNL has ever seen. Seriously, the guy is fucking terrible. He totally ruined that skit with James Franco. Why would the writers do something so stupid?

he's running (out of) good will from all that. I kind of like deep house dish though.

Wow. SNL is terrible. More of the "Obama hasn't accomplished anything yet" bit. Too bad it's seriously lacking in the funny department. There's so much good political stuff out there and they seem to just bomb every week regardless.

Yeah. It's like they did the same episode a month ago......

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is hosting November 21st. Hopefully it doesn't suck too much.

SNL starts up again tonight.

Taylor Swift hosts and performs. Hm...

Fixed.

So guys, who wants to bet that in her opening monologue, one of the cast members jumps up on stage to interrupt her? (Or even Kanye himself, perhaps!)

Tonight will be the greatest SNL of the century. Taylor only had 1 request: that she appear in a Digital Short. Is it too much to ask for Thug Story Part II with a cameo from T-Pain?

Kanye is guaranteed to appear. They did the same thing after the Mike Meyers thing.

I'd wager all my H.R. Jacklepappy records.

All of them.

That must be what, at least 2 or 3.
