Has it occurred to anyone that Apple, a company known for how much R&D they pour into ergonomics and how much emphasis they put on user friendliness might actually, oh, I dunno, have been working on this issue? To Far Away Times said:He can't be serious. I'd rather not browse the web than have to put up with the horribly inaccurate touchscreen typing on the iphone. No way this will compare to web browsing on a laptop.

MAYBE, if you could use a mouse with that keyboard
MAYBE, if it wasn't $499 for the 16gb (which is a pitiful amount of storage these days)
MAYBE, if it has something as simple as a fucking camera
Jesus Apple, try a little less next time...
I get Apple's reasoning, their pride of the App Store and their hatred of Flash in general. But why would I want to use a gimped version of Safari over fully featured browsers found in every other laptop or netbook? Why should I have to downgrade my web experience?domlolz said:Well if flash was included all those small games on the app store would struggle to sell

Dreamwriter said:So does the iPad. And iPhone. And iPod Touch. The fact that Apple doesn't allow developers to use it doesn't mean the hardware can't, and Apple themselves use it a lot in their apps. And while the Amiga had multitasking while in Workbench, most Amiga apps did take over the entire system.

either way, i'm sure there's definitely a market for one, and then there's the other market that will buy everything apple shits out regardless. mindless loyalty ftw!
when this gets the rest of the features it needs at a lower price I'd grab it. Currently, it's definitely neat, but a no-thx.
If the dock wasn't removable, yes it would defeat the purpose. Think, people...confused said:Doesn't this kinda defeat the whole purpose of a tablet? Might as well get a laptop then.

I've only heard rumors on Jobs health, whats the official story on him now?

Congratulations for what is so far the silliest statement I have heard all year :lol
As a web developer all I can do is smh at a statement like this. If you really believe the internet is useless without flash I truly have to wonder if you even know if a site is using flash or if it's using code.
