I wish that when Olivia opened her safe, it was just the biggest fucking bottle of white wine.
Because most fanbases can't handle the relationship nuance between Mellie and Olivia. It's black or white, us versus them.
Look at this bitch! She's through the rain! Gay icon, coming through!

Just wanted to come in and say that Olivia's dad makes everyone else look like amateur actors. Dat season opening scene.

What did they do to Quinn, so much make-up around the eyes, don't like that at all. Seems like she's suffering from the series get's popular syndrom. :/

Another true story: the central story in tonight's #SCANDAL was discussed day 1 season 1. Oh to be that young again...
Wasn't feeling tonight's episode, mainly because I couldn't get into the whole bomb thing. Even for this show, which revels in chances to be ridiculous and dramatic, it felt like too much.
Drunk Mellie, however, was amazing and needs her own show.

I did like the more procedural feel - it's a big part of the reason I'm looking forward to the next episode; love Pope and Associates' cases - but I couldn't suspend my disbelief for this one. According to a friend of mine, I make the show unfun. lolReally? I felt it was the perfect level of crazy for this show. You take something so crazy and marry it with something extremely grounded. It's nice to get back to the more procedural episodes. This show does them very well when they choose to do so.
Also, Drunk Mellie.

Sorry to say, but he never stops. He gets worse if anything.I'm halfway through season 2, dear god someone tell me Fitz stops being an asshole, he's so annoying I want to stop watching.
He's a bit of a five year old at this point. Stomping his foot because he doesn't get what he wants.Sorry to say, but he never stops. He gets worse if anything.
The tone of the show takes such a nosedive during the Olivia/Fitz scenes. Fitz is gross, and it just makes me mad at Olivia that she keeps caving in to him.
Edit: OMG, Olivia, if you run Fitz's campaing...
>_<
So Eli, at that point working for something other than B613 (CIA, whatever) finds out that a plane has possibly been hijacked over Iceland, and is heading towards the US. He makes the difficult call to shoot it down, as he knows his wife is on board but places the security of the nation above everything else. Fitz is the pilot who happens to get the order, and he shoots down the plane. Maybe the reason they had to cover it all up was because the intel about the plane turned out to be wrong?
That's my guess anyway. Serves to redeem Eli a little bit before he gets killed off.
Just started watching this and I'm about halfway through the 2nd season. I'm going to try to catch up. But before I go, Fitz is terrible. Awful. Olivia deserves better. Mellie deserves better.
Yup, exactly.
I think I'd like him more if he wasn't so googly eyed overIs it just me who likes Fitz as a character (although strictly outside of his whole relationship with Olivia)? I like watching him take stands now and again, even though he's invariably prevented from doing so by Cyrus / Eli.
