man i'm in love with how they keep finding interesting way to adapt pokemon moves, like summons sword probably increases attack meaning that move could be really good. also it's great to see a bug type in the game, scizor was a good choice

Pretty sure Pokken doesn't use the second screen for anything other than local play. If the NX really is a handheld, then it would fit even more if anything.

I've seen people have some trouble picking up the rock/paper/scissor nature of it initially but once you get the general concepts down it's fairly straightforward :3

You might want to wait, but Pokken has a number of simple systems that work well and a control scheme that's easier than most fighting games to grasp. It's fun and easy to get into.

Watching the match footage, it seems that the Sword Dance gives him extra attacks extensions, like that wide spin slash in the air or a launcher. I actually expected Empoleon to use this gimmick, since he's supposed to be the Emperor Pokemon.

So what's the deal? Is this game getting a "2.0" version in arcades that becomes an expansion DLC for Wii U?
Considering the Wii U is barely running it (game is sub-720p) I highly doubt that, even as a New 3DS exclusive.

Unfortunately with Pokken the framerate drops to 30 FPS if you play local using the gamepad. Only way to play it right is connecting two Wii Us using lan.

it is arcade perfect in that it mimics how the arcade works - with needing separate machines for different players
I reckon this would actually work as a handheld
