A lot of people calling the referendum based on a couple of the smallest local authorities are either privy to some deep insight on the electorate of Scotland that I'm not, or don't really know what they're talking about I think.

We've got the votes of just over 1% of the population in so far for pete's sake.

Not that I've been expecting a yes vote. Just dreaming.

It's not saying they have won Orkney, therefore they have won. It's saying: they won Orkney by a bigger margin than the polls predicted, and given the polls overall had a No lean, if this pattern repeats we can expect a No win. Obviously, that pattern may not hold, but rumours from other counting areas suggest it has.

If Scotland wants to separate and the UK doesn't want them to leave, war is the only option. The US has to decide which country they want to arm with guns
Em except the whole point of this vote is to see if Scotland wants to separate. If no wins then it means the majority didn't want to separate, so there would be nothing to fight over... The UK has already said it'll let them leave if it's yes.

I'm aware. A "no" calls off the dogs. A "yes" would put the ball back in the UK's court. If they disagree with Scotland's "yes" vote then shit could go down!

Damn, I forgot how rousing a speech this was. Seriously, they should have just played this and the end with Robert on loop in every classroom and public tv.
Robert the Bruce is buried in our abbey, been standing faaaaarrrrr longer than some countries have existed.

This is an Acorn random fact

War? Are you people insane? You guys fucking invented nation state democracy. The will of the people will be respected as it has been for the last thousand years.
