I dunno how many people know about this, but Perfect Dark on the GBC was mindblowingly awesome in the graphics department. It doesn't entirely fit the bill of
Does anybody know the GB/GBC game that looked like real 3D by using various shades of dark/black and it looked really awesome? I thought it was perfect dark but I can't find it.
Where can I re-purchase Neverhood?

Probably already posted, but deserves to be mentioned again if that's the case. I believe Zelda 3 to be the most "timeless" looking SNES game ever made. Such great use of color and style.
Yeah, the lighting in Silent Hill still looks pretty good even today.
and the atmosphere doesn't suffer a bit from its age
Name of thread: Screenshots from old games that still look great
Seriously you guys? You really think these games still look great? I've played and loved Silent Hill 1 more than any other entry in the series (yes, that includes SH2) but there's no way that i think it still looks great today. Not even blinded by nostalgia i wouldn't say that.
Agreed. I don't even really like Zelda but it looks amazing.![]()

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm - PC, 2000
Really? I remember thinking C&C2 was ugly as sin on the day it was launched. Like, I literally went, "ugh" when the first level appeared on my screen.
Different strokes I suppose![]()
Pixel perfect. I still have the CDs for Warcraft I, II, and II XP. (And Diablo 1 for that matter)Warcraft 2

Still my favorite RTS.
We're not talking gameplay here... The topic is about graphics. You really find those titles wonderful from a graphical pov? Really? The resolution is so low in AitD and NFS that a single pixel is the size of New York.I can't speak for the veracity of their posts, but I can honestly say that yes, those games do still look wonderful to me.

That's Homeworld 2. From 2003. And it's a horrible screenshot you have chosen. It should look like this:
