Try searching for something that requires a knowledge base like a song lyric, how to complete a puzzle, the source of a quote. Basically try anything that you need quick info on that isn't a generic keyword like those you listed and Bing fails miserably.

Wrong.
I use Bing and it's wonderful for finding specifications and documentation for programming stuff.

lol, gotta get that month late, unsubstantiated, one-up-manship response in...

"specifications and documentation" including, but not limited to:

pussy bing
cunt bing
lesbian bing
shaved vagina bing
masturbation bing

Maybe never, google.

Edit: I even prefer it for my less frequent searches:

bing won 5 rounds:

weather bing
food bing
stocks bing
puppies bing
290x bing

Keep fighting the good fight!

I'm not sure the bolded is necessarily true (http://choice.microsoft.com/en-us?adchc=1). While I don't really like the campaign, I just want to point this out.

I view it more as an informative campaign for the layman who isn't really aware of what data and how data is used by Google. For tech literate people, these privacy or consumer issues are obvious and they look petty. These ads apparently also use an incredibly miniscule amount of ad money/time in comparison to the rest of ad budget.

Doesn't Microsoft delete nudie pics from Skydrive? Does that mean Microsoft looks at all your pics if you upload to Skydrive?

Microsoft's latest Scroogled ad: Chromebook's 'a brick'

Here we have a young, aspiring actress who wants to pawn her Chromebook so she can get to Hollywood. This is an everyday story of American life.

She wanders into the pawnshop, acts all comely and trusts that she will get enough money for, at least, a Greyhound bus.

"What makes you think it's worth that much?" says the pawnbroker, whose face I've seen somewhere before. Yes, it's the nice, bald man from "Pawn Stars." I thought I recognized this place. It's in Vegas.

Our actress is convinced she's offering value. "Well, it's a laptop," she says. All laptops are worth lots of money, aren't they?

this one was pretty hilarious!

This seems to be something that consumers have decided for themselves, as it hasn't exactly become ubiquitous. Why, then, would Microsoft want to target it?
Might it be because it's the one product that is selling even more poorly than the Surface?

Ouch
