Good episode! I liked the Janitor's moving cart :lol

It was nice.

And I like The Famous Jett Jackson as an intern.
The 4 interns would make for an interesting show, but more of a spin-off than a continuation.

That episode felt very retro scrubs, in a good way. JD accepting the Luther King comment as a compliment. :lol

And did anyone notice the dodgy turk positioning at the start of the argument with JD? He turned away then quickly moved back again, looked weird.

No, I noticed it too.

I enjoyed this episode, even if bringing in yet another intern (and a black surgeon at that) just reeks of setting up for a new season with a completely new cast. How long until we see an episode about a nurse intern (which, incidentally, could actually be quite interesting as we've never seen any nurse interns)?

Amusingly enough, they can hire new nurses or something, so maybe (what Carla and JD finally got to happen)? Iono if that's interns though.

Well yeah, maybe not an actual nurse intern, but some sort of new, young nurse. And I didn't even think about it, but now that you mention it, they definitely could have been setting that up on this weeks episode.

But, on the other hand, I noticed the the girl who plays Jo has been cast in a US version of No Heroics (coinicidently, I watched the first episode of the UK version last week, and it was pretty enjoyable, but I digress). Since there's been so much focus on Jo, I was assuming she'd have to be the main, or at least a very major, character in a new Scrubs season.... so maybe that means there won't actually be another season. I don't really know. I've confused myself.

Haha, I knew I recognized Derek from somewhere. I couldn't place it, then I saw you guys talking about The Famous Jett Jackson and that's when it hit me!

Fun episode.

Good episode for elliot but that is about it. Other then that I don't like this show with out J.D. The real J.D would of brought Turk with him to Disney.

Also since when is this show based in Cali.

I thought it was a great eps even without him.

And the show hasn't always been based in California? I thought it was...

and it still came off pretty damn well. i can't really complain, especially since I was treated with added time with the Todd.

Agreed. I'm actually impressed it ended up being a really good episode even without all of them.

Have they given any reason why half the episodes feature a skeleton crew? Hell, it looks like only half the lights are on in these ones.

In any case, they're doing a good job weening me off the expectation of seeing Zach Braff on the screen constantly. It's starting to imbue in my the expectation they're actually going to keep this thing going after his contract's up next year.

I really think there might be a spin-off with the Interns.

Spin-off? Seems like they're brewing to just keep the show going with them picking up leading roles next year alongside whoever else is left.

That's what I meant. I kind of expect JD to get a job at another hospital as Chief of Medicine (or new hospital), Elliot quits her job after he proposes to her, and he hires Turk as Chief of Surgery and Carla as Head Nurse.

Then, the show has Dr. Cox with the Interns.

The episode was fun.
I really like the interns, but looks like already going for romance with them.
Howie is the man. :lol

Bill Lawrence said that every character will not be in 2 episodes this season. The reason for that was ABC gave him a season if he was able to cut back the budget on the show. It wasn't just the cast, but it's said they are running with less crew/writers too.

It hasn't actually been half the episodes so far. It might just feel like it because they are actually giving the new interns a bit of airtime.

This should be pretty much accounted for now shouldn't it? Between this episode and the one early on with JD and Turk and the old man, and the few absences scattered around the season, everyone has had their 2 episodes off by now haven't they? Hopefully we get the full cast going for the last 5 (is it 5?) episodes, even if the show seems to have proven it is able to carry itself without everyone appearing in every episode.

Despite the fact that this ep had no Dr. Cox, no J.D, no Janitor and no Carla, it still was fantastic all around. I had some genuine laugh out loud moments. Especially the outtakes at the end. :lol

That episode was fantastic. Even without everyone except for Elliot, Turk, and Todd (plus the interns) it worked so well. It felt like a genuine episode rather than a by the book setup like some of the season 5-6-7 eps.

This is what I expect to happen.

For new characters, I have surprisingly taken a liking to them fairly quickly. The only other show that has been ever been able to effectively add new people to a show without looking poor by comparison to the veteran cast is LOST.

Having said that, I do miss JD.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

*low arm pump*

Damn I was expecting to hate this episode when they said JD was at Disneyland and it was just Turk and Elliot but it was really, really fantastic. This season keeps delivering.

I really enjoyed this ep. even though I always feel like I'm going to hate the non JD eps... this was a really good one. I think I could do a non JD show as long as SOME of the original cast was still around... this current mix of interns is a good one. Eye opening for Elliot's character too. I always love the outtakes....

I actually really liked that episode. The interns are enjoyable, and Turk and Elliot have great chemistry all by themselves.

And godammit Jett Jackson looks just like my cousin :lol

I just watched this episode.

It was pretty fantastic. The Elliot/Turk relationship is one that's been understated in the show for the last few years, so I'm glad to see it get some face time. I laughed at them doing the Hivi, as well as Howie going to get a chart that didn't say "Elliot has a slammin' tushie'" and then coming back and realizing that the new chart also said it.

With how good this season is, I've realized now just how much I'll miss it when it's gone. It feels like its time was around season 5, then they kept it going for awhile at a lower quality, and now it's a high enough quality that I wish it could keep going.

Fuck, I still haven't manage to catch this show once in its new time slot, so much earlier than I'm accustomed to. Oh well.

Why bring back Doug and Lloyd but then not bring them to the bahamas (or at least it seems like it) Seems odd. Good episode though.

Nice episode. Sarah Chalke is hot.

The second part will probably be good. How many episodes are left in this season?

Really like this past episode as well, and also agree it seems like they may be leaning towards a new crew with the interns to keep the show going but I don't know if that will work. The only one I really like is the chick who is cold to patients and likes fat guys, I forget her name.
