PvP has an identity, it's just colored by initial impressions that include questionable vehicle balance on one of the only maps and a surprisingly steep learning curve for surviving in a firefight. :P

I feel amazing whenever I survive an encounter with a sliver of health. The agility (especially the Hunter's) is so good and is one reason why I like the PvP.

I think I have another clip to upload.

Logged in (remote play) to check the vendors, and found a green encrypted secondary weapon on sale.

And it was a fusion rifle! Just what I was looking for. Ran Devil's Lair 3 times last night and got a sniper rifle each time. Fucking RNG.

I'll put it to work in PVP when I get home.

Special effect is damage boost on next shot when reloaded

This. You know what happens to games with a million weapons? We get absolute shit balancing and people will find a combination that is op and exploit that. Look at dark souls titles.

Heck we only have a few weapons and we already need balancing for auto rifle. Imagine if we had a bunch more. No more n00b combos plz.
Auto rifle is fine, no weapons need nerfing at all. A couple need buffing like hand cannon and pulse rifle. Fusion, sniper and scout are gravy. Shotgun might need it's spread tweaking as it's too inconsistent at the moment.

The TTK for everything is pretty high as it is. I'd start loosing interest and faith if Bungie roll out more weapon nerfs.

Im begining to think I will never get that Cydonia AR3... I want it for PVP.. I got some badass scout rifles though... maybe ill just learn to get decent with the scout rifles.

I just got a Sahara AR3 which has the fastest fire rate I've ever seen in a game. Sounds like a swarm of bees...lol. I'll try to tame it tonight.

Would love to get the Cydonia.

I'm really liking most of the game's sound design. Specifically the reloading gun sound effects convey a sense of weight and heft to the firearm being loaded...

However, I feel the sound the guns make when fired isn't nearly as "beefy" as it should sound compared to what it sounded like to load the gun.

Also, do the gun models ever change? Is a pulse rifle always the same pulse rifle? Because I like the 3 round burst fire, but I'm not liking the look of the gun compared to the scout rifle...

I'm trying to think of advice to give folks struggling with PvP, and the first thing I can think of is to exploit your crazy, over-the-top exploitable powers. Grenades --> Melee --> Shotgun / Sniper --> Super --> Power Weapons over and over and over. You'll have to use your primary too, of course, but you should always be cognizant of what cheap ass weapon / power you can exploit next. And if you're struggling with the Interceptor, just avoid it until you have something to take it on with.

Otherwise, just pay attention to your surroundings and try to anticipate where your enemies will be moving to/from, and always try to get them by surprise.

Lol...not if they're shooting at me.

You have an equal chance to get any weapon to drop regardless of class. It's just RNG.

I'm not sure that's true till a developer says otherwise I have two maxed hunters one on xbone and one on ps4 not a single uncommon auto rifle drop between the two. Yet my titans on both system got them right away. Do you have a link to a dev. Saying something to the contrary? My hunter tend to get scout rifle, hand cannon and pulse rifle drops but never uncommon auto rifles.

I'm not saying it's not possible just that your chances are better with certain drops depending on class.

This is fantastical, but I wish bungie would really flesh out melee in this game. There needs to be Melee weapon classes like swords or light sabers. and Hunter should have abilties that help them close in really quickly on enemies to unleash flurry of melee attacks. Look to Chivalry for inspiration. The "one knife swipe" is really antiquated game design now. Hopefully in the sequel they will look in to this.

I have a sahara as well. That fire rate is insane. Its hard to keep that thing stable enough to do any good in PVP in my experience. I had a Cydonia AR3 in the alpha and it was by far my favorite gun.

Anyone notice that when we throw grenade to enemy it also does damage because of its contact without its explosion.

Yes. With the 'nade upgrades (at least for Hunter) actually hitting something with it before detonation can cause all manner of chaos.

So i haven't really messed around with bungie.net stuff before. Is there any benefit to registering on bungie.net, besides just being able to mess with your stuff while not in game? Can i link my psn account to my xbox live one? I'll be buying destiny for ps3, but i played a lot of halo. Theres probably no carry-over, but it'd still be nice not to lose that history.

Yes, it is true. Say like you did a story quest, killed an enemy and it dropped and encrypted engram, but you didint pick it up before the end of the quest. go to the post master and it will be there.[/QUOTE

Would the same apply if my inventory was full and won an assault rifle in the iron banner ? Cause I can't seem to find it
