My rocket launcher just disapeared when I got a new one from a gold chest. Has this happened to anyone? It was a bad ass uncommon with 4 ammo and now I only have a shitty baron rs/2a.

This happened today.

I have no clue. It's a gun that glows orange-ish red before they one-shot me no matter what. And it's not the GG.

Sounds like the lens flare you see when looking at a sniper.

Speaking of sniping, it's sooooooo satisfying shooting someone out of a Interceptor/Pike and then stealing it.

Alright, what's the deal with all this junk in the Materials subsection of my inventory?
Ascendant shards, Sapphire wire...

What do with all this stuff?

Oh wow, I had no clue it did that. I've never seen it on my own gun. Especially the way it reminds me of a Spartan laser.

I've been playing on and off for the past couple of days, just reached Lv5 and the PvP stuff.

Not sure this is for me. :/ I want to love it, though.

what do you mean by assault rifle? because there is not actual assault rifle class as far as i know, theres the auto rifle, scout rifle, pulse rifle?

BAH we all knew what he meant.

And AR's are the go-to weapon for most, just a select few who decide to stick with others, like myself with shotties and sliding.

So is it agreed that the assault rifles are the best weapon type in the game?

For PVP, I'd never use a hand cannon or a pulse rifle. Auto rifle and scout rifle seem to be the only real viable options from my experience.

In PVE it's not really going to matter though. Whatever you enjoy using isn't going to have that much of an impact.

Some of my friends came over all throughout the day today. 3 of them tried out this game by making their own character and everything.... And they surprisingly all loved it. One of my friends didn't even want to try it out because he was just saying it was over-hyped and probably not good and proceeded to call it "Dustiny"

After blowing about 7k at the cryptarch I got a couple different shingens, one with the "It's easier to aim under fire" suffix.

Anyone know exactly what it does?

As a level 8 warlock i find using the auto rifle with 51 damage to be the most effective. With a sniper rifle for distance. Every other weapon seems pretty useless so far.

Only played a few missions but enough to know I'll keep my pre-order. Definitely got some PSO vibes from the beta which can only be a good thing. Really looking forward to the release but I think I'll set it aside until then.

So... interesting "feature"...

During the big battle at the Rocketyard? Enemies don't seem to count for much.

Weapon with Return To Sender? Too bad. You won't get ammo for killing them.

Got a kill enemies mission? Too bad. They don't seem to count.

So the place is flooded with enemies, and they don't seem to actually count for shit, despite being harder, lol.

Edit: Mmk, so. They weren't counting toward my kill enemies mission, but the Return To Sender ability seems weird. It only seems to activate once in a blue moon. Not sure if it's random chance or if there's a hidden internal cooldown. Either way it makes it a far less interesting ability.

How do you farm glimmer? I kill hundreds of mobs but I dont get the +XX on the right of the screen showing that I am picking up glimmer.

I ran Devil's Lair and picked up a whopping 30 glimmer.

I always use an ether seed and just run devils lair, and get another ether seed when it ends. But I really like running the Strike, it's a lot of fun to me.

Aw yeah, got a random shingen-c from the cryptarch.
Just got that weapon from the engram selling dude. Its my new favorite weapon. I can't belive how fucking stable it is. i can use the scope and get barrage of headshots. Damn reticule barely moves.

This shit EATS THROUGH harder to kill enemies MUCH faster than my scout rifle.

Titan's and Hunter's is just a boring old jetpack and a boring old double/triple jump.

Us Warlocks though? You double tap to YOU RAISE ME UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP SO I CAN STAND ON MOUNTAAAAAAAAAAAAINS. YOU RAAAAAAAAISE ME UUUUUUUUU-HUUUUUUUUUUUUUP

I know dude, its so fucking awesome. it feels like im flying in the air. I just be flying mid battle and dropping vortexes and nova bombs on the dudes below me. Its so satisfying.

Yea I feel the same way, I was all about those scout rifles until i got my hands on that auto rifle I posted above, changed my mind completely about auto rifles.

Reach did indeed have a matchmaking cool off period for quitters, you would first be put on probation and after that if you do it again you're stopped from playing for ten minutes. Was a nice touch.

I also believe the more you did that, Bungie would increase the timeout.

They should implement this for serial quitters, nothing more annoying than owning and such yourself, when your team is flaking out all around you....so you lose.

Not saying that I pwn much, but I have been the victim of a few 4 v 6 encounters lately... join in progress doesn't seem to work that well.

Hit 160 armor! I'd post my guy, but I'm on X1 and bungie.net is being uncooperative about showing me my Titan, it's just an outline. Of a hunter :(

Unfortunately, the RNG seems determined to make me use Pulse Rifles. Anyone seen any good ones?

This is the worst thing about the game.

Just tried the strike mission and almost everyone on my strike team left after about 5 minutes. Needless to say, the other guy and I were unable to complete the waves that ensued.

We'll be exploring some place called Old Chicago, apparently.

I think 10 strikes are confirmed if true then I would assume 2 areas per planet with the Reef serving as end game but really we don't know. The number of concept areas is irrelevant as they plan to make 2 more games and I think 6 full expansions over the next 10 years.

Hmm, where did you read that 10 strikes are confirmed?

I'm disappointed that Bungie hasn't told us how many explorable regions there will be. It concerns me that the reason they aren't telling us might be because it's a smaller number than most people are expecting and hoping. That lack of information is one thing restricting my hype.
