FUNK-Y-PPA-4
After all the raving I got a PC copy for cheap (€6) and well... I am pretty much underwhelmed. Bad textures, Free Radical's goofy art, average animations, dull gameplay (so far), dumb dialogues, horrible controls... well, at least it has good music and runs great @ 1600*1200, which is rare those days.

Please, tell me that I am not the only one let down.

Also, stealth and a bad camera doesn't mix well...

Darien, I'll try to return it and grab Psi Ops. If it turns out to be a turd, I'll be out for you and that Matlock guy =P

Oh don't worry I don't mind... Psi Ops isn't AAA class material... but the shit is fun IMO.

if youre looking for fun psychic powers theres only really one option and its not psi-ops...

I think SS does some things very, very well, and some others are still on beta form. There´re two big aspects of the game that hurt the experience in a terrible way: collisons/physics and AI. The first wouldn´t be anything important if it wasn´t because the whole game is constructed around the main character having psi-powers. The physics don´t feel right, and the collision detection is lame. The AI is lacking. The guards will be seeing you act from afar and do nothing. Sometimes you can have a bin moving over their heads and they won´t react.

On the other hand, I like how the story is told and the conclusion is great. When you finish the game, everything takes a whole twist, nothing is like you thought it´d be. It´s one of the best executed twist I´ve seen in a videogame. And some moments are ace, so intense and unique that one feels sad that the whole game doesn´t keep up to that level. Using your powers in a creative way, getting through situations in different fashions, it´s all great. That´s why the game feels even worse, because you pass from an amazing situation to an embarrasing one, there´s no balance :-/

A big "it could´ve been great".

Second Sight is a fun game - you just have to get past the first few boards before you really get the hang of it. I had more fun the second time through the game. The story is really interesting and the gameplay gets better as you get more abilities. Of course - I can't really comment on the PC version.

Second Sight was awesome but the AI and the fact that throwing a plastic bin at someone with Telekinesis did more damage than a bullet really killed it for me.

But, the story is excellent and the plost twist was absolutely amazing!

I would've liked Second Sight a lot more if I hadn't played Psi-Ops. Both games are pretty neat, but pretty flawed. I hope we get at least one more stealth-psychic game.

It's better than Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit.

No, definitively not!

Psi-Ops >>>> Second Sight

No, definitively not #2!

I liked Second Sight (played through the Xbox version). I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Fahrenheit (two completely different genres btw), but it was funnier than Psi-Ops.

It´s not that bad, in fact I liked. The story is quite neat and it´s was fun controlling the TK powers. The parts with no powers are not good, in fact they are pretty boring. But it was a very interesting title.

When I played Second sight, I hadn´t played Psi-Ops, that counts as well. Psi-Ops feels better about the using of powers (Second Sight doen´t offer the same cynetic, it´s don´t feel the same).
