I believe the screen shots you are linking too are actually very old 2005 build shots of the game, AF was added later on in the game and the 360 version does use 4-8xAF it seems.

It looks exactly the same as the 360 version which is to say it looks pretty bad. I really didn't like Full Auto but if they improved the car handling and made it a lot harder I'd consider picking up Full Auto 1.2.

I'm sure they will. After all, the majority of the work is done and they're just refining what's there and adding to it. If the original release was afforded the same luxury, it would very likely be running at 60fps as well. The real question is whether or not they can look at what's wrong and missing in the game to address why it wasn't all that good in the first release.
