Yes, just for this.

1.Seinfeld
2.Malcolm in the middle
3.Married with Children (mostly because the first half of the series had alot of mediocore episodes and once it hit season 7, the series was god tier)

I sort of missed that boat I guess. I've never really found Seinfeld funny. Just weird.

For me laugh tracks kill a lot of the humor in otherwise good shows, so that might be one of the bigger factors at play here.

The episode where George gets caught looking at the tv exec's 15 year old daughter's cleavage is on right now and I always thought it was weird as hell that it's never addressed that she was 15 and that the solution is getting him to stare at Elaine's tits who's a grown woman? Like it's the same thing.

THERE WAS CLEAVAGE IN THE AREA. I think their excuse was that cleavage is cleavage.

i thought it was good,

ive liked other stuff better though,

Friends, The Office US, Black Adder, Arrested Development, Everybody Loves Raymond (although that might be because it was my first sitcom ever, still holds a special place in my heart though)

Seinfeld is pretty good and unique though, just doesn't resonate with me asmuch as the others

EDIT: was just trying to come up with my favorite scenarios, and theres just to many to even begin

Jerry did a cool AMA the other day where he answered some questions... He also said he and Larry David were working on something huge.

Yeah, Seinfeld is probably the best TV show ever made. Might be the only show that makes me laugh even though I've seen each episode 5+ times.

it's certainly the best comedy show ever
and since I consider comedy the hardest thing to do, good comedy at least, I'd say seinfeld is quite possibly the best show ever, yes

You know the show is amazing when you're flicking through the channels and see that it's on and you stop to watch it, even though you've seen it countless times.

I can never get tired of Seinfeld.

I've seen every episode 100000 times and I still laugh because the jokes are timeless.

Lol, watching the Wizard episode as I write this. Elaine thinks she's dating Darryl a possibly biracial guy, and Kramer is planning to run for Del Boca Vista condo president.

The show was great, but after Larry David left it felt like it tried way too hard. I watched the Dominican parade episode a few days ago for the very first time (since it's never shown on syndication), and I have to say without rose-tinted glasses of having watched a late-series Seinfeld episode over and over again, that episode was pretty damn bad. I don't know if that particular episode was just shit but I think it was that I hadn't seen it before so my mind wasn't going "THIS WAS HILARIOUS WHEN YOU SAW IT 13 YEARS AGO" in my subconscious.

Its most noticeable in that ep. I still love a lot of the season 8 & 9 eps but they're noticeably different from the David era. Puerto Rican Day and The Dealership are probably two of my least favourite.

The Merv Griffin Show on the other hand...

So let me get this straight: you find yourself in the kitchen. You find an eclair in the receptacle, and you think to yourself, 'what the hell, I'll just eat some trash.'

Easily one of my favorite shows. It never gets old.

Thats a weird way to spell Curb your enthusiasm ;) However Seinfeld is great but sometimes certain elements feel a bit dated.

If it's not, I don't really know what's better, at least as far as sitcoms go.

The show is timeless. I'll still be laughing at it 25 years from now.

Undoubtedly the greatest 30 minute show ever. Going to have to echo the finale being utterly shit though. But, most finales suck, so that's not much of a knock.

I cought a few episodes on syndication recently and realized I've never seen most of it, got the whole series and been bingewathcing through. It still holds up amazingly, exept for a few stinkers, usually 3-4 first shows of any season that have a combined bigger arc. They just don't hold up watching back to back. And it is true, Jerry can't really act that good, but it makes many scenes even more funny, seeing him trying to hold in the laughs.
I read the Fred Stoller Kindle Single (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006Z499M0/?tag=neogaf0e-20) too, it gave pretty good insight on how the writing process worked and why the show had such a unified feel. Too bad there aren't many recent documentaries, I'm guessing there's still a lot of behind the scenes stories to be told.

I got the complete series box set over the holidays and have been rewatching while playing Link Between Worlds. It's like the early 90s up in here and I couldn't be happier.

I've been doing the same, just with Wind Waker on WiiU.

Oh and these found me somehow this week and seem way funnier than they should:

I know Larry left at the end of S7 and the show supposedly dips right after but I've always thought S8 is the best season. Jerry, Elaine and George are at their most selfish and acerbic and it's hilarious to watch. S9 does take a dip, too much dumb hijinx (not a kramer boy here either), but S8 is so good. S7 close behind.

Potiential quality barometer: Pitch of George's voice when George is gettin upset. Quality is inversely proportional.

Luckily, the way this comedy is setup, Jerry didnt need to have superb acting chops. He was the setup man for most of the jokes, and the rest of the cast did the rest.
