Senran Kagura Project Announced for Switch (JP Exclusive?)

I may have to import just to - ahem - try out HD rumble.

Honestly though outside of 1, 2 Switch I want a good showcase game for it, this could do the job.

lmao

kind of funny how seeing boobs in 3d on the 3ds gave birth to the franchise and now HD rumble will take it to its next logical level.

Is there a version of the trailer with eng subs?
What you see is what you get, really.

Hi, everybody. I'm Takaki, from Marvelous.
So, the Senran Kagura series is coming to Nintendo Switch, with a title called Shinobi Refure now in development.
Here's the concept art for this title.
In a classroom after school, holding both of Asuka's hands, I want to feel her heartbeat!
When I think of the Nintendo Switch, there's one feature I'm obsessed with: the HD Rumble.
With this HD Rumble, we want to feel things that have never been felt before.
I'm sure you all thought of it -- you were waiting, thinking "they should make a new Senran Kagura".
Following that, we've spent our days studying HD Rumble.
If all goes well, I figure we'll have it out in 2017, so look forward to it.
See ya!

Are these games actually known for decent gameplay?
The 1st one wasent, the improved one we got in the U.S was better, the one that came out on psv was apparently good and what made the series take off, most of the others are spinoffs that are canon and YMMV on those

From what I also heard the stories are surprisingly good for a game that is trying to sell you on T&A

Man, that video is funny as hell. I hope this is an action game instead of a visual novel style. Art looks great, though.

Doubt we'll get an action title since it's downloadable only tbh. Could range from a good weird spinoff to just some variation on the changing room. VN + HD rumble could be an interesting one.

Depends which game you're talking about, but they have decent gameplay yeah. Some even good (like SK2 or the best Versus game).
Depends what you're looking for too, obviously.

The most recent one, Estival Versus was fairly fun gameplay wise. A bit repetitive, but still decent.

What really surprised me was how good the writing was. Not super amazing, but far better than it needed to be for what this game has on offer.

Thanks for the replies. If there's a good story/gameplay I'll probably buy it.

I don't care about being judged, but substance matters to me.

I guess that makes sense. Maybe they'll use their older engine and mix in some visual novel stuff in. It's not like they don't have high poly models of the cast considering they just released the PS4 version of the water gun game. Considering this game is coming out this year, I would imagine they're doing some asset reuse. What about the possibility of a remake of one of the 3DS games?

It got Senran Kagura, Senran Kagura Burst (improved version of the former) and Senran Kagura 2. Shinovi Versus, Estival Versus, Bon Appétit and Peach Beach Splash are all on PlayStation/Steam.

Oh, thanks, I always fuse the two Versus games in my head and didn't know "Bon Appétit" (FTFY ;) ) existed.
