I don't feel bad at all. Those top players can attend tourny's and get their money. I'm glad to see how the line up turned out.
Dunno where TFA Hornet is from, but EVERYONE is from West coast except for KOR and NerdJosh. I thought they were going to try to have participants from all over the country.
Regardless, looks like a solid roster, each player looks like has a theme:
1. The Y Chromosome: Sherry/SuperY4n
2. The Underdog: Hornet/200yen
3. The Veteran: SubZero/Bronson

While im sure the winner isnt getting the full 25k, even half of that would take like 10 major wins to get, thats pretty messed up for the actual talented people.
I've said it before, Blanka is the best 2d fighting character. And such a good Shoto-killer.

Me too. He would have been great. Just wondering, but what's different about the special edition of this game?
Pretty sure he's just talking about either continuing combos off of launchers or how some combos continue when you call in your other character (costs 1 meter).

so how much does synergy actually among characters matter in this game? all i'm seeing is being able to combo into each other and maybe some sort of battery/user thing.

Ken being able to combo after ex tatsu is so stupid, I don't really remember the damage though.
Could probably substitute the last EX for a HK tatsu with a tag cancel and get a full jump in combo. Scaling off the charts im sure.

Does scaling work like SF4? The whole 4 hits of the tatsu is just one scale point if so.
Funnily enough, this isn't the first game Ken could combo out of tatsu. I'm pretty sure he could link Super off HK tatsu in ST, but it was a 1-framer.
I believe so, but it gets up there with chaining light medium heavy tatsu each time

Don't worry, damage scaling murders the overall damage.
Haha yeah, it was cool seeing you do those ken/kaz combos at the end after a bunch of messed up 2v2 combos the rest of the live stream.

Would be good for time overs though.
Not really a blanka lover but GAF's hate for that character is dumb, Especially contrasted by their love for some of the 3s chars that are equally (read: far more) dumb. Hell i'd main blanka in Sf4 if I could piano electricity better.

Hey there Max! Can you try and provide some damaging 1-meter combos and showcase them in future episodes please?
I know my question/request sounds vague, but I personally think that 1-gauge combos that can do over 300 points are interesting to see.

Something tells me there's no financial benefit in having them there Day 1. In the sense that people just bought a 50-60 dollar game with tons of new characters and mechanics, I don't see average joe caring about 2 extra characters day 1 ( bet your ass they will drip feed them to us )

Nope, took a couple of weeks I believe. They were certainly not day 1 tho.

I'm ok with DLC. The price, time frame and how they package them is the big question.
The point of DLC is to keep the game fresh for a good amount of time(and make money). What would be the point of making all dlc day one? With 38 characters I could wait a month for new ones and hope they release them little by little.

Not shocked that there are no "real" top players, since they said in the beginning they weren't going to cherrypick top players. If top players want money, then they can go win a tournament, like they usually do.
My hate for Blanka comes from his dumb-as-shit hitbox and his overall design.

They were on the disc on day 1 completely finished. They weren't available to download until a month after release though.
I think the big bad move Capcom made regarding Shuma and Jill was to talk about them so early on, even before the game was released.
As Corky said, I don't believe people care about buying new characters when they just bought a new game full of them to discover already; it would have worked much better if they had presented them to us like a month after.
Sadly, I feel like they're about to make the same mistake for SFxT...

I think Gamestop is more to blame in regards to Jill and Shuma since they did have their ad out about them with pre-order info early. What we know so far about these extra characters with SFxT is from an anonymous source (kinda). I'm hoping Capcom doesn't go with Day 1 characters. Give the game a couple of months then bring out your first set of characters, and so on.
