Very cool. I just started a new playthrough of Shadow Complex a couple days ago - the cutscenes have not aged well at all, but the game itself is still excellent. Still makes me sad that Chair ended up making multiple Infinity Blade games instead of Shadow Complex 2.

Gears 1 has some choppy framerates here and there because of the forced vsync, like with mass effect if you enter an area where the game would usually tear a bit you get terrible framerates, gears has moments like that in the first hour and a half I just played over.

wow I downloaded SC, and started it - I had the "continue" option without even selecting cloud storage.

If I remember right if you only have one storage option available the 360 would auto pick it and never ask, only if you had two of more storage locations would it pop up.

Hmm, I own Gears digitally via Games with Gold, but it's not showing up in my owned games list. It does show up as available to download to my 360 on Xbox.com, anybody know why? Shadow Complex however showed up fine, but I bought that way back when.

This means I'll finally get to finish Shadow Complex, hopefully. This is one of the few games that came to mind as something I really wanted when the BC announcement happened for that reason. Would be cool if this means a possible sequel soon. I could have sworn I saw years ago that they were basically done with a sequel and just sitting on it until the time was right? I guess not, though.

They're either using a bad solution for vsync or the emulation that's being done needs further optimization. Regardless, seeing as we're in preview still ill give them till the official BC launch before I give them shit for how the games perform.

Interesting (and reassuring) that they are making Gears 1 backwards compatible, that could have been a pretty easy game for them to say no to with the remaster coming so soon. Awesome. Even better though, Shadow Complex. It might be time to replay that.

I don't think Microsoft will say no to anything, because if even they don't support BC to the best of their ability then they can't reasonably expect third parties to.

Wow, 4 years ago. With all of the changes that went down at Epic I can understand why we haven't seen it. I don't really know where ChAIR stands as a studio anymore, either. Here's to hoping we do see it sometime though, I've enjoyed playing it again today.

Ended up replaying the majority of the second chapter in Gears and had to pull myself away. Have to wait for the Ultimate Edition before I replay the campaign for real.

Okay seriously, is this a problem with my disc or something? Gears 1 is literally unplayable at times. Don't remember it ever being this bad. At the part with the Wretches in Act 1 and it's running at less than 10fps.

Is Gears up for everyone? When I put in my Gears 1 Disc in it just says eject disc and try again because its not a Xbox 1 game. And Yes I am a preview member, Shadow Complex I see.
