here is the video.
No. I think it's fairly obvious what fans of SHADOWRUN wanted. We wanted something that stayed truer to the source material. What do they do? "Oh, we've got this great backstory, tons of reference material. We could cakewalk through this part of it. So let's toss all that out, take it out of Seattle, and set it somewhere else. Ok, who's ready for lunch?"element said:one saving grace that they said was that this is the first of multiple Shadowrun games. So we might see something more along the lines of what people want in the future.

I want a game set in Seattle. I want a heavy Native American element to it. I want lots and lots of hacking, but what I really wanted was 3rd person Action-RPG, NOT ANOTHER FUCKING FPS FOR THE LOVE OF BUDDHA.
you shoot corpse so someone can't come over and revive that person.Confidence Man said:That video sucked. Why was he shooting the dead bodies, to show how they have no ragdoll and disappear after a few seconds? :lol
This will be the end of FASA.
I posted a video. i think it is on page one.siamesedreamer said:Where are y'all getting the game play vids from? The Shadowrun site only links me to some wallpaper when I go to the videos section.
So what should we do? Satisfy fans of the paper and pencil game? The novels? The SNES and Genesis games? It wasnÂ’t a long debate, really. We decided to restart the Shadowrun timeline and grow the fiction over a series of games, allowing the world we loved to unfold over time

Well dipshit, you are making a VIDEO GAME. You appease VIDEO GAMERS first. The same people who played the 16-bit games are now the twenty somethings who buy next gen games. People who read novels and play PnP games are NOT your audience.
I have to agree, cancellation would be good. Just seeing anything to do with this game is like seeing an old friend, that lost their job, and their wife and their house, and got really fat....and poor....and into drugs....hard drugs. It's just sad.Pachinko said:So yay to FASA/whizkids for ruining the battletech novels and now destroying the easiest chance at a good american RPG anyone will ever have. If there is actually a god up there this'll get cancelled.

If this game is a success, how likely are they to try and completey change the formula for a sequel?element said:one saving grace that they said was that this is the first of multiple Shadowrun games. So we might see something more along the lines of what people want in the future.

Maybe he's writting up the instruction booklet.

-Heavy on magic and fantasy and ruins when it should of been heavy on neo-cities, sprawls, and tech.
-Generic and absolutely crap art design when it should of the star of the E3 show.
-And worst of all, a typical FPS from all accounts rather than even a RPG hybrid, let alone a hardcore RPG.
