"Shadowrun will be the greatest awesome I'M COVERED IN...500 - Internal Server Error"

You can read just above the Shadowrun logo:
Requires Windows Vista™
Great, an amalgam of things that suck.

Well it seems some of the devs in the IRC chat have said they have DLC on the way for the game. This is DLC that they couldn't finish in time to put in the game. The Shadowrun forums are completely overrun so it's impossible to get official word.

I think everybody is trying to figure out why there isn't a single review for the game.

Absolutely. You've been pretty critical over at the forums but I don't blame you man. This game is generating the anti-hype train. I think mostly everyone expects a bomb but I just can't see that happening. The game is too fun for it to be a 5 or 6/10.

I haven't really been critical. I've always just asked for a review so I can hurry up and make a buying decision.

That really shouldn't be too much to ask. One Review.

They couldn't finish some extra maps in FIVE GODDAMN YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT TIME.

9 Maps. 5 years. This needs to be reiterated as often as possible.

I just don't know if I have the guts to buy this tomorrow based solely on Tychos recommendation. He was so wrong about PoP that it still hurts. But Tribes. But... 9 maps.

Why no reviews :(

Maybe there aren't many reviews because the reviewers are waiting to play the game online with the general public to get a good feel for the true multiplayer experience.

I'm still predicting a roughly 70% average. What's there is good (assuming that the non-beta maps are significantly better than the beta ones), but it's not a whole lot of content, and it's way overpriced.

I am. I am literally sitting hear with my copy of *gulp* Oblivion thinking of making the trade. Don't hate me. :lol

You have to do what you have to do man. :lol Oblivion has had a pretty good run, at least for most. I'm still finishing up Shivering Isles. ;)

man yogurt sounds so much more disgusting to me, but yeah its work-safe i suppose :) (or at least slightly more work-safe)

Very likely. Reviewers probably want to try out the game when there is actually people playing to match up with.

Exactly.

I saw a really honest and blunt impression about this game on gamevideos.com.

This doesn't seem like my kind of game. Way too complicated and way too team oriented.

I'm going to have to pass (at least until I get my hands on the demo). Back to Call of Duty 3 for yet another month until The Darkness gets here in late June. SMH

No advance reviews usually means that the publisher knows they have a stinker in their hands. It's either that or it's a very anticipated title like Halo 2 or a new GTA, and it's definitely not the case for Shadowrun.
Or maybe the sites can't review the game correctly until they have enough people playing online.

Well you're part of the press, did you guys get embargoed on it?

For me, the redeeming feature of Shadowrun could be that it has no visible rankings or leaderboards (just an invisible true-skill rank for matchmaking). This could mean that it will be on of the few online multi-player games where you can actually have fun...

I think the Chromehounds reviews last summer pretty much missed the mark because the game was reviewed well before it was out and people were able to play it. Perhaps they don't want to make the same mistake with Shadowrun.

I watched that at Gametrailers and literally started laughing my ass off when the music kicked in and it showed the elves lining up ready to leap off the building.

*LOL* I just laughed from reading your description.

Yeah...I should go to bed...

:lol Schafer...that was awesome

I so ****ing despise it when there's just a tiny little piece of text on the cover stating which OS a game requires. The term VISTA should be as large as "Games for Windows" or there should be a big ****ing red stamp VISTA across the cover art. These ****heads are only speculating on people buying their shit only realizing at home that they need another OS for it.

I sincerely hope this game bombs and the developers become homeless.

I don't think this was the developer's choice.

Is anyone going to be picking this up day one?

I was a part of the beta test and it was very fun, but I don't know if it is worth the price of admission.

I have it reserved. I am definitely feeling like I did before I bought Chromehounds. I know I'll like it but I am not sure if the numbers will be there to support the game. I pretty much expect this game to die come September 25th.
