I just got done doing the drawf tutorial...those guys are cool. It's fun going through the tutorials because after each one you're determined to setup your guy just like the one you just used in the tutorial. :lol

I.E. after the first tutorial I thought hang glide + teleport would be the combo everyone would use...now after 5 of them I have no idea what to go with! I think there is one more tutorial. Right now I like the idea of the dwarf because they have the most magic and they're tiny. I'm usually a healer type so I'll probably use resurrect + summon (when a fallen comrade is there I can pop out a summoned creature while I resurrect his ass) + hang glider or teleport (so I can get the F out).

You guys that are waiting to play...I think you'll be very happy with what you come home to. :D

Basically, yes. But you can use bots offline (and they're decently intelligent).

Dude, do some research. This has been a known fact (and something people have bitched about) for weeks (months) now. :)

if you agree and its a fact how it it trolling man? I am just frustrated because i was looking forward to this game until this screwjob. I just hope many ppl dont fall for this crap and it comes down to the price it should be.

I have completed 3 chapters and played 2 online matches.
Great great fun !!!This is really a great surprise ..A sleeper hit in the making :D
 
I'm definitely curious about the game, but I need some reviews or more impressions first. $60 for just multiplayer is a bit much for me. You guys better add me if I get it!

I'm stuck at work for another 4 hoursish. Having 2 new games and knowing that they are hours away is torture.
 
Does anybody know why the matchmaking keeps insisting on pushing me into the other team? I'll be hanging out with my guys in the lobby and as soon as the host pushes start, the rest of my buddies stay in one team while I always get pushed over to the other. It's not even numbers or anything either, because they'll usually get a replacement for me from the matchmaking.

What's going on? This dumbness is seriously killing my fun here. :(

I'm stuck at work as well waiting for another hour and a half. N00bish EB Games didn't have the game in yet when I called around lunch time. So, I'm hoping they'll have it in when I get off work. Otherwise, I'm hitting Wal-Mart.

If you want to start laughing at things they didn't fix, how about we talk about the fact that they did nothing to the completely absent climbing animation that everybody made fun of about a year ago?

Bots are used as player replacements when the teams become uneven. I don't think you can play all real players against all bots, but you can definitely have bots in multiplayer.

Hmm. Thats utter shit.

I guess I'll wait for the demo to see if I like it then, because of all the things to implement, that was the only one that REALLY mattered.
 
Yes, you can play as a group of people versus bots.
During the beta, something like 11 other guys and I got our asses kicked by 4 Insane bots.

I'll never understand why anyone WANTS to actually play against bots. I think they're a good feature to have when teams become unbalanced, but why play against bots? Are you too unskilled to play against real players?

My younger brother plays Counter-Strike against bots, and then comes over and says "Look, 20 kills, 2 deaths". I'm like... congratulations, you're a moron.

How is it a screwjob? It has been known to be $59.99 for weeks now.

Just wait for a month or so until it starts appearing on the used games shelf, or when the price drops rapidly from poor sales. As long as there's enough people playing it to be found during matchmaking by then.

I'm buying it by the way, I just don't think it's going to be overly successful.
 
All these positive posts make me sad. I really wanted to buy the game but the price is just too steep.
I won't harp on that anymore though, that horse is long dead.

More impressions please, I'm a sucker for punishment.

I was in the beta, I had lots of fun with the only 2 maps I could play. I'm going to buy it right now (if i could find it). As I've said before, don't knock this game before you try it. It's FUN.

I just finished the tutorial. The mechanics seem very balanced and potentially have a lot of depth in the way they interact. Im gettin ready to jump online.

It took me around 90 minutes, I believe? You get 10 achievements a pop and there are 6 of them. I was playing them in between checking work...so my time may be off. You watch a little movie, go through the tut, then play bots using the new stuff. It's not a grind at all...actually pretty interesting/fun.

As long as it's fun, I don't matter. But I still have horrible memories from Command and Conquer 3's tutorial which took forever and was so ****ing boring.
 
God damn this game is awesome. I have done 5 outta 6 training and bot matches. VERY fun. Can't wait to actually play :lol
 
The online is really fun. Wow.

Just remember that you accumulate money as you go so if you're a dwarf (for example) you basically can't buy anything (other than weapons) until you play a few rounds and make some loot for magic/tech.

I started as a human and that was much better, initially...you start with the most loot. Like being the banker in Oregon Trail. :)

It runs pretty smooth but I did have a disconnect and the guy that got booted with me said it was his 2nd one of the afternoon...hopefully that doesn't last.
 
I would like to submit a request to have the thread title changed BACK to "I'm covered in semen". Man yogurt just isn't as funny considering the context.
 
This game really is great. Its so much more team oriented than anything else on live right now. The trees of life and resurrection are crucial to winning and the way all the abilities and race differences interact with each other is awesome. I'm having a great time with it so far.
