Dude, look right above you. We should all be adding each other. I play with about 5-6 guys on my team every night and we steamroll the competition and have a good time doing it. Friendslists ftw.

I think the really bad times are ahead...the Halo (no disrespect, love Halo but we all know the community how it is sometimes) kids are gonna jump on this as the next shooter. We'll get an influx of really lame players but good players too, who'll hopefully stick around once the bad eggs leave.

I have that feeling with every xbox live game i play... and now it seems like they even infiltrated games like catan. Yesterday i got yelled at for like 30 min because i didn't want to trade my brick for his wool.
Then i played some Gears, and got yelled at because i had a few kills more. ( ur the F**** host man, and i wasn't ....)

being anonymous turnes a lot of people into as******...

2 weeks ago i had a repution of 68% pref and 32% avoid. after playing a lot of catan and gears. my pref is down to 59% and avoid upto 41%

u rob some1 in catan: bad rep
u chainsaw/tag some1 in gears: bad rep
u make a flukey goal in PES: bad rep

xbox live players should just grow up tbh...

After about 2 weeks of playing this constantly.. getting kinda bored.

Bored of seeing Elfs smoking and having to run after them while they hid.
Bored of seeing team-mates not having rez 6 rounds into the game.
Bored of the same game type over and over again.

I love the game but will probably trade it in in 2 weeks for The Darkness.

its not just xbox live players, it is online gaming period. You wont have this problem if you just play with your friends/Family.

Or do what a large % of ps3/pc gamers do and just dont have a mic. Which makes online gameing pretty pointless for me i have to say.

You need a mic to enjoy online gaming?

You do for Shadowrun on the PC, which offers no means of text communication between PC players!

Dealing with greifers and asshats is pretty easy in most online FPS games on the PC-play on a well-admin'd server.

dedicated servers would also fix this. That way a community could form and the as**** could be banned.

Uhhh..what? How did that happen? :lol

What was it again in CS? So out of practice...T for teamchat and C for allchat?

Muting voice comm is the best thing to happen to online gaming since Broadband. When playing with people I know it's not a problem, but on public servers that shit goes off.

i've only had one instance of offensive voice whilst playing shadowrun, some american banging on about how english people have no future, god knows what was said to provoke him. all in all i've found the community to be pretty close and helpful - plenty of money donating, team communication etc. really surprised by how much i'm enjoying this. even if i do suck at it :/

God damn, there's five people who have all the achievements already. :O

I guess they boosted the really hard/annoying ones like 100 minion kills and 100 rocket launcher kills, but how did they get all the "play 100 matches as..." achievements so fast? Just playing an elf constantly and playing almost all day took like a week for me!

He said online gaming in general.

For me yeah, i find running about on rfom pretty boring experince if im not on with friends. Chatting having fun and using voice comms in team games is what makes online gameing for me without them i would rather not bother.

Yup Forza is hogging my Shadowrun time as well ...

I've noticed:) I'm swinging back and forth. I want to finish my Gorillaz car, but I keep firing up Shadowrun instead. Had some good matches last night and finally got my elf killer achievement.

Does anyone know the specifics about the Gust Five people to death achievement? Does that just mean get 5 kills with Gust? Or do you need to Gust them off something and then they die from the fall. And I assume it's not all in the same game right? But damn Gusting people to death is fun:lol

Knocking them off to their death counts, as does taking a glider out of the air -- so inderict deaths. I love gust. Nothing like the surprise of those damn ghosted elves when you gust them and follow up with a clip from the SMG.

No, direct deaths work too. I got it from just carrying gust into any firefight. Shoot them a bunch, then gust and hope it kills them. Gusting smoked players deals a hell of a lot of damage as well. I got the achievement and I haven't gotten the "forced player to fall to their death" message even once.

More people should buy Gust.

- Always good for a surprise against Smoke users.
- Keeps katana-wielding Elves at bay.
- Increases the distance between you and a sudden grenade, thus less damage.
- Deactivates Gliders (I think).
- Drastically decreases fall damage when you time it right.

One of my favorite skills as a Dwarf, next to Resurrection.

I stand corrected. I got all my gust kills in a single match on Maelstrom. I was just circling the main structure, hurling people to their deaths.

You can also use it to launch grenades incredible distances (although my accuracy falls apart when I do that)
Also, it recreates rocket-jumping fun, as you can fire it at the ground as you leap to increase jump distance.
And yes, a direct hit deactivates gliders. Nothing funnier than watching an Elf drop from the top to the very bottom of maelstrom.

Sorry to hear that. Majority of my games have been well behaved but I've had some real winners recently.
You must have some bad luck because I have been playing this since release and can only remember 3 or 4 times that I have incountered assholes.

I usually have 10+ kills a match. While most people are using smartlink I am using enhanced vision. :D

A human with enhanced vision+gust+tree of life+rez+glider+teleport+shotty+smg/rifle=ownage.

My gamertag is CharsAce.

We had the pleasure of listening to 3 of our teammates argue about guitars in one game. Thing got so heated peoples mothers came into the argument. Thing went on for like 8 rounds. We still had fun that night and a lot of good games.

Bought it for PC last night, I really didn't expect much...

I'm having an absolute blast. Sucks there is no text chat, but overall I've had a fun experience, no assholes or people screaming.

Gust and Teleport are definitely my two favorite skills, with Resurrect there when it's needed.

Gamertag is the same as my username, and as a Windows user, I could use some friends :lol

Totally with you on the enhanced vision love. Everyone loves smartlink. I'd tell people how great enhanced vision is, but it's easier to kill them if they keep using Smartlink.

I love Humans and all as I gotta rock vision and glider at all times. But I'm pretty sure just about any race would be good with access to all that.

Minion kills achievement isn't that hard. Easiest as a dwarf and just keep casting it anytime its up and you're around a chokepoint. Its also a nice instant meatshield in a one on one firefight and can finish someone off if he gets caught reloading. :lol

Yea i was about to say the same thing. :lol He named a good grip of all the techniques
Humans can use those the best because of the no tech penalty. You can't put two techs on anyother race IMO. You put two techs on elves you eliminate their ability to escape fights with double teleport. Dwarfs can't have two techs either because their esssence takes so long to regen even though they have the most essence. Trolls don't have the movement speed or essence to pull it off. Humans have enough health to power through dwarfs and elves and a enough speed and essence to hit and run Trolls. They are the best race IMO.

Just got my Street Samurai achievement. Still can't believe I don't have my Human Player achievement...This is when I wish the game supported some sort of Stat Tracker. Anyway going to play some Gears for the rest of the night I think. Well...Maybe another game or two of Shadowrun:lol So much fun!

That was pretty good. The lineage elf is entertaining.

The whole Tree of Life thing was funny. It's a strange coincidence how the movie "The Fountain" features a Tree of Life prominently in it. I watched it the other day and every time they showed Hugh Jackman doing stuff near the Tree of Life I kept thinking of Shadowrun.

the trick is to hit the jump button right after you fire gust, not at the same time.
Experimented with this yesterday, and it surprisingly works like a charm! It definitely aided me sneaking up on people and draining their essence before killing 'em.

Which reminds me: another benefit of being a dwarf. If someone is silly enough to try and sneak up on you, you have this "Spidey Sense" where your entire screen changes color. If you adjusted your aiming sensitivity, then you can still turn around and Gust the guy behind you to create enough distance and shoot the hell out of him. The screen filter can also tell you when someone's below or above you in certain levels, and when someone's hiding behind a nearby wall.

However: you're pretty much ****ed when another dwarf gets close enough to you. Magic goes poof in two seconds or so.

After I eat dinner here in a few minutes I'll probably be hopping from Shadowrun, to Gears, to Halo 2. If anyone wants to play any of those just send me a message.

Got my Blowhard achievement tonight. Yeah baby.
