Shameless self promotion-age: A comic.

My girlfriend and I put together a comic using record covers and post-its. We've been doing it for a couple months now and have about 10 regular readers (we had a day that got up to 28!). Pretty swanky! Anyway, I just figured I'd show it to GAF so maybe we can get up to 12 visitors a day!

Anyway, check it out, let me know if you like it. Henry & Twiggy.

Girls that are into music. At least that's who it's been effective on. Generally those people that are in relationships.

As I said, definitely not GAF.
you left out are mildly depressed, possibly alcoholic and have tumblr blogs

Is there any point of using albums as a background aside from being able to switch them out easily?
Yes, but again, it's probably not obvious to non-record nerds. (And if you don't like it, I doubt that knowing the connection would help that much anyway, it's just a cute relationship humor one-liner comic.)

My friend also has a comic that he updates once in a blue moon. What an opportune time to pimp it.

I read the one linked but couldn't keep it up. Tell your friend to drop the faux anime style and he may get more readers.

I gotta say. It's pretty awful. You are only slightly less of a man for having tried and failed.

This isn't bad, though. :P

If there's something to get, then I don't get it.

I wish I could say something positive, but I'm just not seeing anything here. Is it meant to be just a series of non sequiturs? Is there any rhyme or reason to it?

Umm... is it supposed to be bland and boring? Is that the shtick?

If so fantastic work!

EDIT: I hope the massive influx of readers gets you laid tonight.. perhaps that is the positive point in all of this.

I think it's fucking great. Seriously. There's a lot of emotion hidden in those conversations. I'm married, btw, and I fucking get it.

Hmmm.. so marriage is just another word for constant passive aggressiveness?

meh. Just meh. I had more fun figuring out what album was behind the post it notes than actually reading the captions or figuring out how the album's tied into the comic. Sorry.

But not exactly funny. Your best bet is to completely dark. Just go full-bore relational angst with the occasional witticism. Watch Inception, Eternal Sunshine, and 500 Days of Summer for inspiration.

Not exactly. More like a many-layered disaster of beautiful proportions.

How cool would it be if the album related to the conversation without being obvious?
