I feel like we are feeding a troll and if he isn't trolling, I'm prepared to weep inside.
Others thought the same until they found a thread from around five years back with similar conspiracy theory bullshit.

Flat Earthers honestly make me sad. It's one of, if not THE, clearest cases of pure delusion. To disregard all fact, all evidence, all science, for something that is so asinine and provides no benefit to believing. To believe that there are somehow millions or billions of goverment/military agents guarding arctic edges of the Earth because it's somehow...better if people believe the Earth is a globe instead of how they used to believe it?
And you can't say anything, and you can't show anything that could change their mind. It's part of the delusion. Anything that goes against what they believe is part of the government conspiracy. I mean, the amount of money and manpower that would go into making people believe the Earth is round is sheer lunacy. The only thing that will change these peoples' minds is just to wait and eventually come to the realization that they are wasting their time chasing the most ridiculous theories that hold absolutely no weight.
Its the same benefits that any cult sees from sticking to something crazy
- Attention
- Profit
and whatever other conflict of interest underlies such beliefs. There are also the trolls and other mental issues at play
But the worst are the casual apathetics that actually give this the time of day cuz it panders to something bizarre inside of them
Sure
The thing I don't understand about Flat Earthers, hell, any conspiracy theorist actually, is how in the Hell could [insert group responsible for pushing whatever they think is a conspiracy here] somehow both manage to convince literally billions of people that what they are pushing is the truth and yet somehow also leave enough holes in their 'conspiracy' that anyone can 'prove' it wrong with goddamn YouTube videos.
If 'flat earth" can be a widespread theory in today's world then it really doesn't bode well for our species. How can medically sane people ignore all contravening pieces of evidence that they are wrong?
It's kind of disturbing to think about when you extrapolate such an absurd notion to imagine what other views such people may hold, and the life such people may lead when underpinned by such views.
If some ignorant coo-coo wants to believe in a flat earth, I suppose it does not create much harm in the grand scheme of things. But what other beliefs does that same coo-coo have and how does it affect their decision making? It's a genuinely horrifying notion.

Because the majority of people are idiots.
What if earth is actually a 2-d sphere that is both flat and hollow?
Come to think of it, does being a flatlander entitle me to a trip in space to confirm? Not convincing enough. Need to go to space myself to be sure.

I can change my views if so!
Why would he wear a harness? If they were to fake that wouldn't they do that during a parabolic flight?hes not underwater in that gif? this gif is showing him clearly on a harness.
Yes, it's absolutely terrifying. I feel like we're using this age of information where we have easy access to basically everything to go full moron on everything instead of shooting for some enlightenment. Of course it doesn't apply to everyone, but it's astounding how many people are so willingly going full idiotic on shit like this. But the absolutely worst horror movie scenario is how we fucking condone this behavior because laugh my ass off so random xD. It's all fun and shit until you remember that Galileo described the planets as "quite round" in like 1600 using a fucking glorified binoculars and yet here we are inching our way closer and closer to Idiocracy.
People in previous times would kill to have access to the amount of information we have. We are exposed to more new ideas and pieces of information per day than some people were in an entire lifetime.
And some people choose to believe in a flat earth (and yes, I do believe it's a choice to believe in such a thing). They are basically spitting in the face of progress and entire generations that preceded them.
I'd say it sounds you don't know shit about science or what the fuck you're talking about.
Shaq, I wonder, is Uranus as flat as earth?
I mean both are planets.
Harbinger: Whats going on with the flat Earth thing? Are you just messing with everybody with that?
ONeal: No, the Earth is flat. Would you like to hear my theory?
Harbinger: Yeah, tell me about it.
ONeal: The first part of the theory is, Im joking, you idiots. Thats the first part of the theory. The second part is, I said jokingly that when Im in my bus and I drive from Florida to California, which I do every summer, it seems to be flat. When Im in my plane, and were getting ready to land, and I open up the window, and Im looking at all the land that were flying over, it seems to be flat.
This world we live in, people take things too seriously, but Im going to give the people answers to my test, he said. Knowing that Im a funny guy, if something seems controversial or boom, boom, boom, youve got to have my funny points on, right? So now, once you have my funny points on, that should eradicate and get rid of all your negative thoughts, right? Thats what you should do when you hear a Shaquille ONeal statement, OK? You should know that he has funny points right over here, and what did he say? Boom, boom, boom, add the funny points. You either laugh or you dont laugh, but dont take me seriously. When I want you to take me seriously, you will know by the tone of my voice that Im being serious.
He says he was joking, which he most likely was, IMO.

It always blows my mind that people believe in the flat earth thing. I mean, that would mean millions of people from the ancient Greeks to every person who's ever flown a plane or made a plane or a satellite and ever worked at any of the hundreds of space agencies are keeping you out of the loop because....Bible? I guess?
you gotta admit this is interesting af.
a very common question. just because governments of the world are all doing this means that it can't be faked? other governments cant be colluding to be in on the lie? its a lie thats been going on for 500+ years. and yes, governments collude. have to get out of the nation/state paradigm that they propagate.
everything that you know about this globe was told to you by governments.
That is actually legit scary that people think like thatThis is one of the most amazing things I've ever read considering your main source is youtube.
A brain at war with itself is fascinating to watch.
So we all know that Shaq was joking now right
It was super obvious because Shaq is an intelligent man that's in it for the goofs always.I thought it was obvious on page 1 he was poking fun at Kyrie Irving who made similar comments a week earlier but I guess 20 pages here say otherwise

youtube is a collection of sources. its not a singular source. its crowd sourced information.
shaq is also a mason so of course hes gonna come out trolling.
youtube is... crowd sourced information.
