Had a job sweeping hair off the floor at a salon. The manager wanted me to go by a special 'exotic' name or whatever. I guess it wasn't the biggest deal but I was young and thought it was lame, I only worked the one day.

I was the "Technical Advisor" at a farm about a hour out from where I live, in bumblefuck plains.

So I go to a local hotel for the interview. The hotel was cool, about the same level as Motel 8, and I was in a meeting room with 3 other applicants, all old people who look like they've been eating nothing but struggle for the last few months. I was the only one dressed in business-casual attire. The guy conducting the interview had his wife and son with him, and basically explained he's on a farm, and trying to get more sociable, although he and his family aren't tech savvy. He was looking for someone with technical knowledge to start getting things up and running for them

Cool. I get the job. He can only pay me 9/hr. Cool. Whatever. Im semi-desperate and didnt want to move back home with mom.

I drive all the way out to the farm. He has a table in the house "set up" for me... So I have to get up at 5am to be at your house at 6am and sit next to the family room or whatever that was at what was basically a coffee table with a pen holder on it. Whatever. I'm desperate. They offer me breakfast, thick cuts of bacon and eggs. The farm owner's son (probably 30 y/o) sits next to me fascinated and pokes at my (personal) computer. The farm owner guy offers me a box with a couple of decade-old Dell and HP desktop computers to set up (no monitor). I decline, and use my own. My job was basically sending and receiving e-mails, calling Verizon/Comcast/Dish to see who could provide decent internet to their farm, and look up ways to make their farming more productive through technology. I also was supposed to scan/enter in receipts and contracts but they didnt have a usable scanner at the time.

Day 2 I just sat in my car and worked from my car parked outside their house. Day 3 I didn't show up. I called them and told them I wasn't interested in keeping the job and offered to recreate their Craigslist ad with a proper description.

I dunno, this doesn't sound THAT bad. Granted, it's not what you expect for the job title 'Technical Advisor' but $9 an hour (and I'm assuming this was a few years back?) doing easy work helping out a nice family that gives you free breakfast?

The worst?

A lady who runs a dog poop collecting business contacted me for design work. The catch? She wanted it for free since she did cash for clunkers and bought a new car.

I've no really bad job offers. I've gotten offers with low salaries, but I've never really gotten job offers from companies I'd know would leave me with a guilty conscience.
