Well, we did hit what is called an inflection point three days ago, meaning that from that day the numbers have not only increased but also the rate of increase is increasing. See this document for more details:

This does not mean that a huge surge is imminent but we are doing good progress.

Is there enough publicity that acknowledges that the Kickstarter is almost up? I really doubt we will be getting past 5 million and everyone who wanted to pledge has done so at this point. 5 million is a HUGE amount from a crowd funding source whether or not it can be used to help create the game Yu wishes to make will be evident in a few years

Bloodstained added almost 1,5 million/16,000 backers during it's last 2 days, so I want to believe there is still a lot of potential for Shenmue 3 too.

They really need to go all out from this point, though. It would be great if there was a last day live marathon, including a bunch of arcade games Yu made previously and Shenmue.

Not sure about the public versions, but the Dropbox URL has been DLed too many times so it's been disabled from public use for now.

Well... The kickstarter postmortem is going to be very interesting. I still stand by the fact that in regardless of all the madness mismanagement, limited promos, and bad communication, the Kickstarter proves that Shenmue III is absolutely massive and would create stellar sales in the right company's hands.

To be fair, we don't know the contractual details between Awesome Japan and YsNet. However, if we stick strictly to what they have done so far then there is unfortunately no doubt about it... they have been really sloppy. Examples of sloppiness, their Q&A stream quality and preparation, the management of the kickstarter page which includes all the communication, layout design and everything else about it. When this is all compared to already completed kickstarters out there such as Bloodstain, it is sadly fair to say that Awesome Japan - or maybe YsNet - made some ill decisions that affected Awesome Japan's credibility. If they learned then they should have done something big since yesterday as Monday is a very important day for media hits.

Solution to all this? Do your homework and prepare before you commit to any video game kickstarter.

Also, they don't work weekends... not that you can really call what they have done "work." Pretty much everything generated in the campaign feels like it could have been drummed out in a few hours of work. Honestly, I don't know what these guys do all day, because it clearly is not working on this Kickstarter.

Great to see Nocon still working on the HD remaster I don't think a game will ever come out of it but maybe he can upload the enviroments for everyone to explore once he has finished his work.

The latest Hazuki Residence looks fantastic! Hopefully that video will pop up on some news websites to give the Kickstarter a few final hits!

final 48 hours is usually when the big boost happens but we've seen an increase day on day since friday in terms of pledges and backer numbers.
