the big 5 mil should be enough incentive to keep momentum. it's a huge milestone with a new gameplay feature attached!

i don't think it'll be like, dice dice. it'll be dice shaped and clear but with your face in the middle. at least that's what i get from the image they've provided.

Yep. I'm on 300 and the weak aussie dollar is killing me from pledging more because of how much extra I'd need to shell out for no reason other than dollar value :-(

passport ryo looks good, but it still feels kinda limited by 1999 game graphics. the geometry of the face is just kinda... off. the shenmue online teaser model looked a lot better and more like a real person. hopefully that's kind of what they'll end up with for shenmue 3.

I disagree. Ryo's face should look just like in this fan version/on Dreamcast - only with more polygons and better animated.

not all kickstarter days are consistent. the total goes up and down. a million dollars is a lot of money too. you can't have expected 300k+ pledges per day can you?

The CGI animation seems the same shape, but with different animations and effects. It really didn't suit Lan Di.

not quite. the passport model is kinda sharp in places because of graphical limitations. the shenmue online teaser ryo was a bit softer in the jaw and nose because of the far increased polygonal count which lead to a more realistic appearance.

actually, shenmue online materials would come under yu's licence to use past materials right? there's shenmue online stuff on the KS page right now. i wonder if yu has access to the materials that made that cg trailer...
